"Tides & Sands" Update
✨ New Features & Visuals
- Added branching path system:
- Zombie Line: Fresh Zombie -> Rotting Zombie -> Old Zombie -> Skeleton.
- Drowned Line: Fresh Drowned -> Rotting Drowned -> Bloated Drowned -> Bogged.
- Husk Line: Fresh Husk -> Rotting Husk -> Mummified Husk -> Parched.
- Parched, Bogged, and standard Skeletons can transition into a Wither Skeleton by spending 30 minutes in the Nether.
- Added a dedicated "Drying" progress bar. It fills up when a Zombie player stands in hot/dry biomes (deserts, badlands, savannas, Nether) or when a Drowned player is out of water and not exposed to rain. Standing in water or rain quickly empties it.
- Bogged players can be sheared for red and brown mushrooms. Doing so starts a 10-minute regrowth timer (configurable via slider in settings).
- New Achievements: "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?", "Go touch some sand!", "Davy Jones", "Pharaoh's Curse", "Aquaman", "Tide Turner", "Dry Bones", and "Bogged 2Nite".
- Updated
/skeletonand added/drowned,/huskcommands.
⚖️ Balance Changes
- Fluid-Based Mutability:
- If a Zombie player runs out of oxygen underwater and drowns, they convert into the same-tier Drowned instead of dying.
- If a Drowned player dries out (reaches 100% Drying progress) or takes fatal sun damage, they revert to the same-tier Zombie.
- If a Husk player runs out of oxygen underwater, they convert to the same-tier Zombie instead of dying.
- If a Zombie player reaches 100% Drying progress in a hot/dry biome, they convert to the same-tier Husk.
- Drowned players gain a free underwater navigation buff (Fresh +20%, Rotting +40%, Bloated +50%, togglable). Additionally, their thrown tridents do not lose durability and gain a Loyalty-returning effect even without being enchanted (togglable).
- Drowned players take higher sun damage (Fresh 1.25x, Rotting 1.5x, Bloated 2.0x, togglable).
- Husk players are weak in water. They drown 3x faster, receive Slowness II in water, and Slowness I in rain (togglable). On the plus side, they do not burn in the sun, and their melee attacks apply Hunger to enemies (customizable duration). Mummified Husks also receive 75% less fire damage.
- Bogged and Parched skeletons shoot Poison and Weakness arrows respectively when they have no arrows in their inventory.
🐛 Bug Fixes & Polish
- None. Enjoy the free bugs that came with this update! (I'll clean them up in the next bugfix patch)
