0.4.0 CHANGELOG
✨ New Features & Visuals
- Skeleton Stages: Added two brand new post-Old-Zombie stages: Skeleton, Wither Skeleton. You will visually turn into a vanilla Skeleton or Wither Skeleton based on your stage.
- Undead Hunger & Bone Healing: Skeletons have no hunger mechanics. Instead, you can heal by right-clicking with a Bone.
- New Advancements: Added 2 new advancements for reaching the new forms: "Bare Bones" and "Withered".
- Admin Commands: Added a new dedicated command for server management:
/skeleton [player] [skeleton|wither_skeleton]. - Skeleton Configs: Added a brand new "Skeleton Form" category in the Server Settings.
- The Gas Zombie: A new hostile variant of the standard zombie that emits a 1.5-block toxic green gas cloud! It features lower base damage but higher speed and health, has unique deep/long sounds, doesn't burn in the sun, and can even shoot a green spit projectile that spawns mini toxic clouds where it lands. Upon death, the Gas Zombie drops a lingering, large Infected Gas Cloud.
- Updated Splash Potion of Holiness: Throwing it fully cures players in the infection stages (does not work on fully turned zombies/skeletons). Additionally, it acts exactly like the "Super Fertilizer" from Minecraft: Education Edition when thrown on crops.
- Menu Polish: Added smooth swipe transitions when switching tabs (including the pause menu) and added scroll transitions.
- HUD Polish: The infection/zombie/skeleton progression bar now displays exact decimal numbers (e.g.,
50.5%) for more accurate tracking.
⚖️ Balance Changes
- Skeleton Form Modifiers: Normal Skeletons take 25% more damage from players and 75% more damage from falling and sunlight. Wither Skeletons take 75% less damage from players, but 75% more damage from falling.
- Wither Skeleton Combat: Wither Skeletons no longer take durability damage on any swords! Additionally, direct melee hits apply the Wither effect to enemies, and Wither Skeletons are now healed by the Wither effect.
- Wither Skeleton Fire Immunity: Wither Skeleton players are 100% immune to fire (campfires, lava, etc.). They will not receive the fire screen overlay, burn sounds, or screen shake and damage when in fire.
- Combat Modifier Overhaul: The melee damage reduction/increase modifiers for Rotten, Old, Skeleton, and Wither Skeleton stages now correctly apply to damage taken from mobs as well as players.
- Infinite Ranged Ammo: Both skeleton forms have infinite arrows! You can shoot bows/crossbows normally even with 0 arrows in your inventory. Bows and crossbows will not take durability damage when used by either skeleton form.
- Enderman Stare: Enderman will not get angry when you look at him while in either skeleton form (because you have no eyes).
- Gas Zombie Spawning: Naturally spawns in most biomes (except mushroom islands/oceans/rivers), but has a significantly higher chance of spawning in Graveyard or Infected Lake structures.
- Gas Zombie Equipment & Drops: Always spawns armed with a stone or iron sword/axe (stone is more frequent) which has a small chance to drop on death. It also guarantees a drop of rotten flesh.
- Gas Zombie Mob Neutrality: Pacific to players in any zombie stage, and neutral to players in skeleton stages.
🐛 Bug Fixes & Polish
- HUD Overlap Fix: Armor and health bars will no longer overlap each other.
- Menu Polish: Removed unnecessary "(0% = none)" and "(0 = none)" text from all configuration button tooltips for a cleaner UI look.
- Hotbar Flashing Bug Fix: Fixed a legacy bug where holding number keys for restricted/unavailable hotbar slots (e.g., slots 2+) caused the slot to glitch.
- Creative Pick-Block Bug Fix: Fixed a legacy bug where middle-clicking to pick a block in Creative mode with full hands caused the item to vanish instead of dropping, bugging out the visual right arm.
- Translations: Standardized the Russian and Ukrainian translations so "Infected Water" is now universally correctly called "Тархун".
