What's new

# AFKStation 7.0.0 AFKStation 7.0.0 is a major reliability, lifecycle, and configuration safety update focused on protecting player settings and improving stability. ## Added - Added automatic configuration backups. - Added backup recovery when the main configuration file is missing, invalid, or corrupted. - Added configuration schema versioning for safer migration between releases. - Added structured logging for configuration, camera, rendering, audio, and option-restoration failures. - Added automated tests for: - Configuration persistence - Backup recovery - Schema migration - Camera-style ordering - Added build integrity and release verification checks. - Added complete localization support for history values, durations, trigger types, camera-style names, and shuffle intervals. ## Changed - Configuration data is now written through a temporary file before replacing the active configuration. - The previous configuration is preserved as a backup whenever new settings are saved. - Existing configurations are migrated automatically to the latest schema. - AFK cleanup now uses a consistent and repeatable lifecycle flow. - Minecraft settings are captured before AFK overrides are applied and restored when the session ends. - Camera styles now use one canonical order: - Angle - Journey - Orbit - Halo - Spiral - Isometric - Parallax - Low Angle - Figure Eight - Vertical Sweep - Scenic Scout - Life Focus - Manual camera-style changes and automatic shuffle transitions now behave more consistently. - Runtime failures now provide diagnostic information instead of being silently ignored. - Build metadata, dependency requirements, packaging, and release verification have been improved. - Internal configuration, camera, and lifecycle code has been simplified for easier maintenance and porting. ## Fixed - Fixed AFK effects remaining active after disconnecting or leaving a world. - Fixed FPS limit, render distance, FOV, perspective, smooth camera, master volume, chat visibility, and HUD state not always being restored correctly. - Fixed **Notif Text: Hidden** not suppressing AFK notification text. - Fixed the AFK FPS limit being applied during AFK entry when the option was disabled. - Fixed stale Minecraft settings remaining after an interrupted or crashed AFK session. - Fixed configuration writes potentially leaving incomplete or corrupted JSON files. - Fixed invalid primary configurations immediately falling back to defaults without attempting backup recovery. - Fixed configuration and runtime failures being hidden without useful logging. - Fixed AFK cleanup when the player disconnects, changes worlds, or becomes unavailable. - Fixed integrated-server view distance not always being restored after AFK. - Fixed legacy camera-style values not being normalized consistently. - Fixed history values and shuffle interval units bypassing the translation system. - Fixed the license file being omitted from packaged release artifacts. ## Removed - Removed unused AFK UI lifecycle state. - Removed redundant configuration validation assignments. - Removed duplicate camera-style ordering and label definitions. - Removed unnecessary null checks around known values. - Removed obsolete internal parameters that no longer affected behavior. - No user-facing features, settings, camera styles, controls, or saved history were removed. ## Notes - Updating to AFKStation 7.0.0 is recommended for all users. - Existing configuration files are migrated automatically. - Existing settings and AFK history should remain preserved. - If the active configuration is invalid, AFKStation attempts to load the latest backup. - Interrupted AFK sessions are recovered on the next client launch. - AFK history remains limited to 20 entries. - Sessions shorter than one second are not added to history. - History older than 12 hours is removed automatically when **Auto Delete** is enabled. - AFKStation remains client-side only. - Dedicated server installation is not required. - Multiplayer remains supported from the client side. - Minecraft-version and mod-loader requirements are listed separately on each download.
