Description
Vehicle Expansion Mod Introduction
This mod introduces several physical mechanics and structural optimizations for vehicle building and terrain interaction, supporting more realistic and flexible wheeled vehicle designs. The following features have been added starting from version 2.0.0 and have been continuously improved in subsequent updates.
Version 2.0.0 Features
Double Wheels & More Wheel Types
- Added double-row variants for all off-road wheels, making it easier to build more stable chassis that are closer to real-world structures.
- Supports placing components like Wood, Logs, Gears, Valves, and Handwheels on suspensions, complete with proper hitboxes.
- Added support for Log Rollers, further enriching the possibilities for vehicle and mechanical structure builds.
Floating Placement
- Allows a large number of vanilla components that normally cannot be placed in mid-air to be placed freely, reducing the limitations when building complex vehicles and mechanical structures.
Version 3.0.0 Features
Rut System
- Added a rutting feature: each wheel has an independent load threshold. Exceeding this threshold creates a chance to leave ruts on the ground.
- During rainy weather, the probability of leaving ruts is tripled.
- Currently, this only affects Mud and Sand blocks, with ruts temporarily represented by Coarse Dirt.
- Please note that this feature is still in the testing phase.
Steering Angle Limit
- Added a speed-dependent steering limit: the faster the vehicle moves, the smaller the maximum steering angle of the grounded wheels becomes, making the steering behavior more akin to real-world vehicle physics.
- You can bypass this limit by sending a Redstone signal to the bottom of the suspension, allowing for flexible adjustments based on your build needs.
Floating Placement Optimization
- Further optimized the Floating Placement feature introduced in 2.0.0, improving compatibility and placement stability.
Version 3.0.1 Fixes
- Fixed the remote control wire compatibility issue present in version 3.0.0.
