What's new
Adventure Systems 26.9.23
This is a supplemental compatibility and UI refinement update built on top of the larger 26.9.21 release.
The main focus of 26.9.23 is completing the migration of several remaining interfaces to the latest KineticCore GUI/navigation APIs and fixing edge cases that were still caused by older local UI implementations.
Tips Editor List Rework
The Tips Editor's left-side entry list has been fully migrated to KineticCore's shared scrollable selection-list API.
Changes include:
- Removed the old locally implemented list scrollbar.
- Fixed duplicate scrollbars appearing at the same time.
- Removed manual text truncation using hard-coded
.... - Long entry names now use the shared Kinetic scrolling-text behavior.
- Reduced and bounded the list content width so text and controls no longer draw outside the left panel.
- Added proper right-side spacing for the shared scrollbar and panel border.
- Preserved the existing left-click selection behavior.
- Preserved the existing right-click delete behavior.
The list now uses the same shared scrolling, clipping, selection, and rendering behavior as other modern Kinetic interfaces.
Registry Selector UI Migration
The Registry Selector interface has also been migrated further onto the latest Kinetic list APIs.
This removes more local scrolling/list handling and keeps selector behavior consistent with other Kinetic-based editors.
Parent / Child Screen Navigation Fixes
Adventure Systems has been audited for nested Kinetic screen navigation.
Child interfaces now consistently use:
setParentScreen(...)navigateBack()
instead of manually reopening parent screens.
This improves navigation reliability across nested editors and prevents screens from returning to the wrong level.
Fixed Mouse Cursor Re-Centering
Returning from a child screen to a parent screen no longer relies on GUI transitions that temporarily return the player to gameplay.
With the latest KineticCore navigation runtime:
- Parent screens are restored directly.
- The player's mouse position is not intentionally changed.
- The cursor is no longer re-centered as a side effect of returning from a child interface.
- Nested editor workflows remain inside one continuous GUI session.
Adventure Systems does not manually call mouse-capture or cursor-position APIs during these transitions.
Wallet -> Shop Return Navigation Fix
The Wallet / Shop flow has received an additional navigation fix.
The Shop screen can be opened asynchronously after receiving server-side data. In this case, Adventure Systems now preserves the Wallet main screen as the parent screen before opening the Shop.
This means:
Wallet -> Shop -> Back
returns to the Wallet correctly instead of falling back to gameplay.
Further KineticCore API Cleanup
Additional local UI behavior has been replaced with shared KineticCore functionality.
The affected areas now rely more consistently on:
- Shared scrollable selection lists.
- Shared scrolling-text rendering.
- Shared screen navigation.
- Shared parent-screen handling.
- Shared clipping and list-boundary behavior.
This reduces duplicated UI code and makes Adventure Systems more consistent with other Kinetic-based addons.

Adventure Systems 26.9.23 is intended to be used with the current KineticCore API generation.
