Adventure Tools is a small mod that adds several items to make the game less tedious.
Current Features:
- Escape Rope: Consumable that teleports you to the entrance of the cave you are in.
- Recipe:
- Notes: You must have the rope before entering the cave for it to work. There is a delay before using the rope, to prevent it from being used as an instant teleport. This is changeable in the configs.
- Ender Lantern: While in the inventory, reveals nearby ores.
- Recipe:
- Ender Lantern in action:
- The radius of the lantern is configurable client-side, not server side. This so users may adjust the radius to suit their own computing power, as setting too large a radius can potentially lag those with less powerful computers. To counteract this, the maximum radius can be set server-side.
- Mining Helmet: Creates light where the player is looking. Toggle-able by shift-right-clicking in your hand.

- Custom 3D Model!
- Flashlight: Acts exactly like a Miner's Helmet, but needs to be held to work.
- Recipe:
- Explorer Hat: Dyeable cosmetic hat stronger than Leather Armor
- Recipe (although any wool/carpet can be used, produces a default hat):

- Parachute that automatically deploys
- More hats (?)
- Grappling Hook - maybe

Did you just use the LEGO Indiana Jones DS home icon for your mod?

I believe they did not, if you search 'LEGO Indiana Jones DS home icon' you will not find the icon for this mod. However, the creator could have used Indiana Jones' hat as a reference for the icon, he is basically the definition of adventure- even the sound systems use his hat and whip as an icon for Adventure Sound Config.
Hi! I was really looking forward to using this mod, however, when I tried to launch the game it says that the mod is missing license information. I'm using 1.16.4. Is it not compatible or is it something on my end?

I actually had planned to do this (and even had all the code written less than a week after I posted the above comment) but some annoying error was preventing me from testing it. I decided to just compile and it looks like it works. Let me know if there are any errors in the new release (especially if there are server-side ones, didn't test any of that).
hey, may i ask if the ender lantern is broken or is there something i have to do to configs? i can't seem to get it to function properly as all ores are not highlighted
i do love everything else about the mod so far, though
EDIT: as i had just discovered, shader packs(optifine) was the reason for it not working, i would love if you could adapt this mod to shaders as well! love you

Glad you found the problem on your own. Unfortunately, it's very unlikely that I will be able to release shader compatibility. Optifine messes with the game's rendering engine significantly and furthermore is closed-source, so many mod creators are unable to troubleshoot and offer compatibility. I would love to find the problem and release a solution but without knowing what's wrong I simply can't.
That being said, glad you are enjoying the rest of the mod.

that's alright, i can put up with swapping shader packs whenever i go mining with it, really love the hat designs, they're cute and quite fit the game

A cool idea for this mod would be to add special totems (or some other item) specific to the different dungeons (jungle temple, desert pyramid, etc) that can only be found in those places and cannot be crafted.

Hello, I have been playing with your mod for a while now, you had something like 700 downloads lol and I have found a glitch were the light block would connect to other blocks like fences, glass panes, iron bars, etc. If you do not understand what I'm talking about, here's a picture : https://imgur.com/a/KhgO6H2 (By the way, don't be surprised that the Flashlight doesn't look like yours, I changed its .json as I didn't like how it is by default)

Oh, thank you. I had never even considered testing that. I'll have a fix out soon.
I went to test out the flashlight on my world... every time I go to turn it on the game crashes. Is there a way to adjust my settings so it works?
