Item naming restored on Minecraft 1.20.1

Several naming paths silently stopped working on Minecraft 1.20.1 after multi-version support landed. Armor from villagers, crafting, and loot now gets named and described on 1.20.1 just like on 1.21.1, and custom or hand-authored datapacks now load correctly instead of being rejected as incompatible.

  • Armor (helmets, chestplates, leggings, boots) now gets procedural names on 1.20.1
  • Custom & hand-authored datapacks now load on 1.20.1 (correct pack format)
  • Crafted-item descriptions, bow and shield naming now work on 1.20.1
