Description
AdvancedSeasons is an atmospheric overhaul for Minecraft. It introduces a dynamic environment where seasons organically shift, weather directly impacts the world, and time naturally alters the landscape. Built with performance in mind, this mod brings high-end visual features directly into the base game without causing lag.
🌤️ Custom Volumetric 3D Clouds & Dynamic Fog
AdvancedSeasons replaces standard clouds with a highly optimized, custom 3D volumetric cloud system.
Expanded Horizons: Clouds form massive weather fronts that stretch far across the sky. Weather Reactive: During clear days, clouds are bright and fluffy. When a storm rolls in, they dynamically drop in altitude, thicken into a solid overcast layer, and turn dark.
Fog Synchronization: Atmospheric fog perfectly matches the color and density of the clouds, creating a seamless horizon. Seamless Seasonal Transitions Each season lasts 4 in-game days. On the final day of a season, the world transitions naturally rather than instantly swapping colors.
The environment smoothly morphs block-by-block using organic noise algorithms. You can watch leaves slowly shift from summer green to autumn orange over the course of the day, maintaining high FPS throughout the process. Dynamic World Mechanics The physical world reacts to the current season:
Spring: Ice thaws and snow melts away. Flowers bloom across the plains, and the spawn rates of farm animals and bees increase by 30-40%.
Summer: Foliage becomes a vibrant green, and glowing ambient particles appear during warm summer nights.
Autumn: Wind brings falling leaf particles. Leaf piles naturally accumulate under trees, automatically matching the exact color of the tree above them.
Winter: Temperatures drop, causing water sources to freeze into ice and snow to accumulate on the ground. Clouds turn a pure, bright white during the day.
Commands
Use /season set [spring/summer/autumn/winter] to manually change the current season. The mod will perform a rapid, 2.5-second visual time-lapse, smoothly morphing the clouds, fog, and flora into the requested season right before your eyes.
