Advanced Recipe Engine (ARE) — Mod Overview

Advanced Recipe Engine (ARE) introduces a brand-new, highly customizable crafting system to the game. It completely reimagines how players interact with recipes and gives pack makers ultimate control.

Core Features

New Crafting UI: A new "Craft" button is added directly to the player inventory. Clicking it opens a dedicated crafting window.
No More Crafting Grids: Players no longer need to arrange items in a specific grid pattern. Just gather the required ingredients in your inventory and craft.
Crafting Time: Crafting is no longer instant. Every recipe now requires a specific amount of time to complete, which can vary from item to item.
Vanilla Mechanics Toggles: You can completely disable vanilla crafting mechanics in the config file, including: Crafting Table and 2×2 inventory grid, Furnaces, Brewing Stands, Stonecutters.

In-Game Recipe Editor

By typing the /recipeeditor command (requires OP Level 1), you open a powerful visual editor for recipes and categories.

Recipe Customization Options:

Categories: Assign recipes to custom categories to help players navigate the menus easily.
Display Names: Set a custom display name for any recipe.
Crafting Time: Manually set how long a specific recipe takes to craft.
Multiple Ingredients/Results: Configure a recipe to include an unlimited number of different ingredients and output results.

Advanced Crafting Requirements

ARE supports flexible and complex conditions for crafting:

Consume Items: Spends X amount of resources.
Keep Items: Requires X amount of resources to be in the inventory, but they are not consumed upon crafting.
Tool Durability: Consumes X amount of a tool's durability.
Proximity: Requires the player to be standing near a specific block.
Alternative Ingredients: Create flexible recipes with multiple input options (e.g., a recipe can require "4 sticks and 1 diamond" OR "2 planks and 1 diamond").

Search and Usability

The interface includes a powerful search system to help players quickly find what they need. You can search by:

Recipe ingredients
Recipe results
Recipe display names
Global search (everything at once)

Important Note: Advanced Recipe Engine does not include any default recipes out of the box. All recipes and categories must be created from scratch.

This makes ARE an excellent tool for modpack creators looking to build a completely custom progression system.
