0.5.3
- Changed the NeoForge requirement to 21.1.233 or newer, with no upper version limit.
- Kept the build and test target at NeoForge 21.1.233, with Minecraft 1.21.1 and Java 21 unchanged.
0.5.4
- Removed the upper version limit for the optional Cinematic Teleport integration.
- Wings now accepts Cinematic Teleport 0.2.1 or newer when installed.

0.6.0
- Overhauled animations across all ten existing wing designs, with separate shoulder and outer-wing movement.
- Added smoother animation changes between hovering, forward movement and sprinting.
- Gave Angel wings slow sweeping beats with delayed feather fanning.
- Gave Bird wings stronger downstrokes, articulated tips and fanning primary feathers.
- Gave Demon wings pumping strokes and flexible membranes.
- Gave Bat wings quick movement across multiple axes and fluttering webbing.
- Gave Butterfly wings figure-eight movement and independently hinged lower lobes.
- Gave Dragon wings slower power strokes, delayed wing tips and flexing sails.
- Gave Fairy wings fast elliptical beats and separate lower-wing movement.
- Gave Phoenix wings delayed feather motion and flowing tail plumes built from linked segments.
- Gave Mechanical wings staged servo movements, deliberate pauses, sequential panel movement and sliding pistons.
- Gave Crystal wings individually drifting and slowly rotating shards.
- Reworked attachment positions and folding paths to reduce clipping through the standard player model and armour.
- Changed barrel-roll folding so moving wing surfaces fold backwards behind the player.
- Separated wing scaling from the back attachment, with mounting struts extending at larger sizes.
- Added feather facets and shafts, thicker mechanical panels, shaded crystal faces and separate translucent fairy membranes.
- Improved scene lighting across wing surfaces, reserving full brightness for small luminous details.
- Applied the updated models and animations to flight, selection previews and optional teleport sequences.
- Preserved existing public rendering methods and integration APIs.
0.6.1
- Removed level-only forward flight. Looking up now lets you climb, and looking down lets you descend while moving forward.
- Made backward flight follow the opposite direction of your sight line.
- Kept left and right strafing horizontal.
- Added smooth visual banking when strafing left or right.
- Added a backward lean when reversing and made forward lean respond to your viewing angle.
- Corrected the barrel-roll axis so the player spins around the length of their body.
- Added a head-first roll pose, pitched 90 degrees from upright for level flight and aligned with the sight line during climbing or diving.
- Added smooth transitions into the roll pose and back to the normal flight lean.
- Updated optional camera rolling to follow the corrected spin timing.
- Normalised diagonal movement to prevent an additional speed bonus.
- Kept Jump and Sneak as independent vertical controls, without applying their acceleration twice.
- Added vertical braking when releasing movement controls to settle into a hover.
- Preserved normal wall and ceiling collisions. The player’s hitbox remains upright during visual tilts and rolls.
- Kept Creative, Spectator and optional cinematic teleport movement under their existing flight systems.
- Updated directional input and visual synchronisation to network protocol 5. The server and every client must use Wings 0.6.1.
- Preserved existing public methods and payload constructors for integrations.
Upgrade notes
- Existing levels, stamina, unlocks and equipped designs are preserved. The saved-data format remains version 2, with no migration required.
- All ten wing designs already existed in 0.4.2. These updates overhaul their appearance and movement.
- Use Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1, Java 21 and NeoForge 21.1.233 or newer.
- Cinematic Teleport is optional. If installed, use version 0.2.1 or newer.
