Description
Adaptive Hostiles
The enemy learns how you fight. Adaptive Hostiles gives ordinary hostile mobs persistent exposure to a player's combat habits. Repeat one attack style and the target can evolve a readable counter during battle; keep teaching the world and future enemies may inherit the dominant response.
Five visible adaptations
- Carapace counters repeated melee attacks.
- Phase counters projectile pressure.
- Cinder responds to fire.
- Nullweave responds to explosions.
- Vitality resists armor-bypassing magic.
Names, colored particles, sound cues, health changes, and combat effects make every evolution understandable. Threats progress from Evolved to glowing Prime enemies and finally multi-adapted APEX encounters.
Turn evolution into equipment
Use the Genome Scanner to inspect enemies and your persistent combat profile. Recover seven gene materials and Minor, Prime, or Apex Specimen Caches, synthesize Adaptive Alloy, then forge the Chimera Saber and four-piece Chimera armor. A Null Catalyst can remove a target's current adaptations when the fight gets out of control.
