What's new

Actually QuickStack 1.1.0 — Release Changelog

New: Inventory sorting

  • Added middle-click sorting for the player's main inventory, vanilla chests, barrels, shulker boxes and open Inmis backpacks.
  • Sorts each inventory region independently; the player's hotbar stays in place.
  • Consolidates compatible partial stacks without combining incompatible NBT/enchanted variants.
  • Respects gold/red slot locks and supported slot insertion restrictions.
  • Added configurable ascending/descending sorting and per-region enable/disable options.
  • Added a subtle sorting sweep animation and sound. Both are optional, with configurable animation duration, sound volume and pitch.

New: Precise inventory transfers

  • Ctrl + Left Click moves one item.
  • Ctrl + Shift + Left Click moves all stacks of the selected item type from the active inventory region.
  • Transfers work between player inventory, supported vanilla containers and Inmis backpacks.
  • Server-side checks enforce valid slots, destination capacity and locked-slot protection.
  • Added configurable feature permissions and a separate inventory-action cooldown.

Expanded: Persistent slot locks

  • Existing Normal / Gold / Red states remain unchanged for nearby Stack/Restock.
  • Gold and red locked slots are now excluded from sorting and protected against quick-move shortcuts.
  • Client-side cancellation prevents locked-slot items appearing to move and then snapping back.
  • Server-side enforcement remains in place for multiplayer safety.
  • Existing per-player and Inmis backpack-layout lock data is retained across upgrades.

Integrations and compatibility

  • Inmis: Added backpack sorting and precise transfers, retaining Stack/Restock and persistent backpack slot locks.
  • Mouse Tweaks: Compatible with existing drag-transfer behaviour, with protected-slot checks. Removed the overlapping Shift-hover feature from Actually QuickStack.
  • Mod Menu: Added new pages for inventory tools, sorting permissions, sorting effects, sounds and lock protection.
  • Vanilla Controls: Added rebindable shortcuts and modifier controls.
  • Configuration migration: Preserves existing client/server JSON settings, unknown custom keys and existing slot-lock keybinds. Retired test-only Shift-hover keys are removed.

Retained from 1.0.0

  • On-demand nearby Quick Stack and Restock
  • Configurable storage radius, container cap, line of sight, hotbar and whitelists
  • Item-textured transfer particles, chest/barrel animations, transfer sounds and action-bar messages
  • Compact Stack/Restock buttons and optional in-game configuration

Compatibility: Minecraft 1.20.1 · Fabric · Fabric API · Java 17+
Optional integrations: Inmis, Mouse Tweaks, Mod Menu
Multiplayer: Matching mod version required on client and server.

Release validation: TEST 4 passed all 27 user-reported in-game checks. Production build compiled with GitHub Actions. Dedicated-server multiplayer testing has not been separately certified.
