Action Skills

The Action Skills mod adds bonus functionality to enhance regular gameplay, that can be used in both mod packs and vanilla+.

Currently in beta. JEI is a required dependency. Some features are not fully implemented or functional yet. However the mod is in a playable state.

Have you ever played games like RuneScape or Skyrim where as you do certain tasks over and over you start gaining proficiency and bonuses to gameplay related to those tasks. Like fishing over and over and you gain a higher chance to get rarer fish or catch multiple fish. More damage with arrows by using bows a lot, able to pickpocket bigger and better items from NPC's. 

That is this mod, but for minecraft. Action Skills adds 25 skills related to basic gameplay tasks that augments or increases efficiency of those tasks. It also adds a few secret bonuses and skills that will be unlocked after completing certain tasks in a certain order, to gain certain bonuses.

Otherwise its pretty simple. For mod packs JEI is a requirement and some of the bonuses can be applied to modded items, materials, and machines.

Action Skills is tuned to be a slow burn mod that is intended to be used in long term play sessions and worlds spanning multiple days. 

Leveling Basics
Most skills cap at level 50. Exceptions: Fishing, Cooking, Defense, and Beast Handling cap lower. Most skills use a rising XP curve: roughly 100 points for level 1, then about 10% more per level. Some slow/fast skills have custom curves, especially Sprinting, Jumping, Foraging, Monster Slaying, Scavenging, Treasure Hunting, Enchanting, Alchemy, and crafting skills.
