  • Added a short post-fight celebration phase.
  • Winners receive a temporary outline effect.
  • Added temporary visual fighter equipment.
  • Temporary equipment and effects are removed after the event.
  • Improved cleanup of movement and animation state after combat.

Gobulle Bookmaker

Added a dedicated Bookmaker role for arena betting.

  • Added a fixed bookmaker position near the arena.
  • The Bookmaker is excluded from fighter and spectator selection.
  • Added a distinct visual identity.
  • Improved anchoring and idle behaviour.
  • Prevented duplicate bookmakers in the same village.
  • Added deterministic repair logic for invalid duplicate bookmaker states.

Arena Betting

Added a full betting system using Blue Gold Coins.

  • Players can bet on either fighter.
  • Added multiple predefined wager amounts.
  • Blue Gold Coins are removed directly from the player's inventory.
  • Betting uses a pari-mutuel model.
  • Payouts are funded exclusively by real player deposits.

  • Matches use unique identifiers.
  • Added protection against duplicate payouts.
  • Added protection against duplicate refunds.
  • Cancelled matches refund players correctly.
  • Pending refunds persist across reloads and player disconnections.
  • Betting state is isolated between villages.

Great Vault

Added an extremely rare Gobulle Great Vault structure.

  • Approximately 1 in 10,000 Gobulle villages can contain a Great Vault.
  • Selection is deterministic and based on world seed and village identity.
  • Added deterministic multi-chunk generation.
  • Added multiple architectural variants.

Great Vault Treasury

Great Vaults contain a large reserve of Blue Gold.

  • Treasury value is approximately 24,000 to 42,000 Blue Gold Coins.
  • Treasure is distributed across multiple protected containers.
  • Up to 12 protected chests are used in the main vault.
  • Treasury generation is one-time only.
  • Loot does not regenerate after chunk reload.
  • Loot does not regenerate after world reload.
  • Loot does not regenerate after the Grand Treasurer is defeated.

Grand Treasurer

Added a unique Gobulle boss: the Grand Treasurer.

The Grand Treasurer acts as the guardian of the Great Vault.

Visual Design

  • Added a dedicated 3D model.
  • Added a larger and more imposing silhouette than regular Gobulles.
  • Added unique ceremonial equipment.
  • Added a chest harness and pectoral elements.
  • Added a diadem and Blue Gold detailing.
  • Added a large treasury satchel.
  • Added visible belt attachments.
  • Added a ceremonial vault key.
  • Added a dedicated pixel-art texture.
  • Added a dedicated glow mask.
  • Added unique animations.
  • Improved accessory placement and clipping.

Behaviour

The Grand Treasurer is neutral by default.

  • Entering a Great Vault does not automatically start combat.
  • Players can approach and observe the Grand Treasurer.
  • The boss remains bound to its own Great Vault.
  • The Grand Treasurer is excluded from normal Gobulle community roles.
  • It cannot participate in arena fights or spectator activities.

Aggro Conditions

The Grand Treasurer becomes hostile when the protected treasury is genuinely threatened.

Combat can be triggered by:

  • attacking the Grand Treasurer directly;
  • stealing an item from a protected Great Vault container;
  • destroying a protected treasury container;
  • breaking critical Great Vault protection blocks.

Simply opening a protected chest without taking anything does not trigger the encounter.

Aggro detection is strictly scoped to the associated Great Vault.

Grand Treasurer Boss Fight

The Grand Treasurer now has a complete boss encounter.

  • 280 health.
  • Increased armour and durability.
  • Increased knockback resistance.
  • Full underwater 3D navigation.
  • Boss bar support.
  • Multiplayer-safe targeting.
  • Proper handling of player death and disconnection.
  • The boss does not pursue players indefinitely outside the Great Vault.

Combat Patterns

Heavy Strike

  • Slow, telegraphed attack.
  • High damage.
  • Clear dodge window.
  • Includes recovery time.

Charge

  • Short underwater charge.
  • Strong impact.
  • Controlled movement.
  • Does not pass through walls.

Guard

  • Temporary damage reduction.
  • Limited duration.
  • Dedicated cooldown.
  • Does not provide permanent invulnerability.

Area Attack

  • Short-range circular attack.
  • Pushes nearby players away.
  • No projectile spam.

Second Phase

At approximately 40% health:

  • the Grand Treasurer becomes more aggressive;
  • selected cooldowns are reduced;
  • attack recovery becomes slightly faster.

The second phase can only activate once.

Grand Treasurer Territory

  • The boss is physically bound to its own Great Vault.
  • Added a leash system.
  • Players cannot drag the boss indefinitely through the village.
  • If all valid targets leave the encounter area, the boss returns to the vault.
  • The boss eventually returns to its guarding state.
  • The Grand Treasurer cannot join unrelated village systems or travel into other village areas.

Grand Treasurer Defeat and Persistence

  • Defeat is permanently recorded.
  • The boss does not respawn after chunk reload.

  • The boss does not respawn after a server restart.
  • A Great Vault can never have more than one active Grand Treasurer.
  • Defeating the boss does not regenerate the treasury.
