Absolute Zoom is a clean, lightweight, and high-performance client-side zoom mod built for Fabric. It provides a seamless, modern way to take a closer look at your Minecraft world without any unnecessary bloat or complicated setup. Just press, zoom, and explore!
Features
- Instant Magnification: Simply press and hold your zoom key (Default: C) to instantly bring distant world details right in front of you.
- Scrollable Zoom Depth: While zooming, use your Mouse Wheel to dynamically scroll in and out, shifting your focus effortlessly from a subtle nudge to extreme magnification.
- Cinematic Camera Handling: The mod automatically engages Minecraft's built-in cinematic camera smoothing while you look around. This ensures your camera movement feels incredibly fluid, steady, and movie-like.
- Hotbar Protection: Scrolling to change your zoom depth automatically prevents your hotbar from switching slots, keeping your selected item or tool safely locked in place.
How to Use
- Zoom In: Press and hold the C key.
- Adjust Distance: Scroll up or down with your Mouse Wheel while holding the zoom key.
- Go Back: Release the zoom key to immediately return to your normal field of view.
(You can easily rebind the zoom key to any other button in your standard Minecraft Controls menu!)
Installation
- Environment: Client-side only. You do not need to install this on servers!
- Requirements: Requires the Fabric Loader and Fabric API.
- Performance: Completely lightweight. Built with highly efficient mixins that won't impact your FPS, making it perfect for any modpack.
