They cannot see you. They can hear everything.
A meteor shower ends the world. What crawls out of the craters has no eyes, plates of bone instead of skin, and hearing so precise it can find you by the sound of your own footsteps.
A Quiet Place: Death Angels turns Minecraft into a survival horror game about silence. Every block you break, every jump, every arrow that lands, every mob you hit — all of it is a beacon. The Angels are permanently blind: line of sight means nothing to them. Noise and distance are the only things that decide whether they find you.
The creatures
- Death Angel — the adult. Fast, armored, and utterly relentless. It snaps toward a noise the instant it happens and tears through terrain to reach it.
- Newborn Death Angel — fragile, frantic and even faster. They hatch in swarms and never stop screeching.
- Death Angel Queen — enormous. Periodically she stops dead and focuses: while she listens, nothing masks you. Not rain, not a river, not a cave. Every sound in the world reaches her.
Survival tools
- Sound Level Meter — a fully modeled hand-held SPL meter with a live HUD readout of exactly how loud you currently are.
- Sandbags — silent to place, silent to break, silent to walk on, and they soften your fall. Your most important building material.
- Hearing Aid — pulses when something is closing in.
- Carapace gear — sword and armor forged from their own plating.
Systems
- Full noise simulation: block breaking, placing, jumping, combat, projectile impacts and fall damage all emit measurable sound.
- Ambient masking — rain, rivers, caves and nearby animals cover you, and the Angels genuinely cannot hear through it.
- Water kills sound. Anything made underwater, or from a spot ringed by water, never reaches them at all. Water is your safe zone — they avoid it and they drown in it.
- They lose interest. An unreachable noise gets written off and blacklisted instead of obsessed over forever.
- Meteor impacts carve real craters, seed monster nests and keep the world dangerous long after the first night.
- Sandbag outposts and monster nests generate in the world.
- Configurable grace period, meteor frequency, noise sensitivity and more.
