The features added in the mod improve your experience by giving you a nice vanilla minecraft experience, with the feeling of modded minecraft, even though the features achieved in this mod can be gotten from the base game.

A: No, it adds no features at all.

A: Both! Just make sure to grab the correct .jar file.

A: Yes, when a new version of Minecraft releases I will be updating it to the release ASAP, but probably don't expect a release until the full update comes out.
