Mining and digging
Hammers (wood, stone, iron, diamond): mine a 3x3 area of stone-type blocks and ores.
- The 3x3 follows the face you hit, so it digs flat from the top and as a wall from the side.
- Dirt, wood and containers are left alone.
- Tier limits still apply, so a wooden hammer can’t break iron ore.
- Each extra block costs 1 durability, and Unbreaking helps. Hammers last twice as long as a normal pickaxe.
- Fortune, Silk Touch and Mending all work. Extra blocks drop no XP orbs.
Excavators (wood, stone, iron, diamond): the shovel version of the hammer.
- They dig dirt, grass, podzol, mycelium, sand, gravel, clay, soul sand, snow, mud, farmland and concrete powder.
- Silk Touch keeps the grass.
- Sneaking while mining with either tool breaks a single block.
Vein Miner: a toggle that works with any pickaxe, including vanilla ones.
- Sneak and right-click the air to turn it on or off.
- When on, mining one ore takes the whole connected vein, up to 64 extra blocks. Stone and deepslate versions of an ore count as the same vein.
- Fortune and Silk Touch apply to every block, ores that normally give XP still do, and each extra ore costs 1 durability.
- The pick stops before it would break, and a pick that can’t mine the ore normally can’t vein it.
Tree Cutter: the same kind of toggle, for any axe.
- When on, breaking one log fells the whole connected tree and clears its leaves for free.
- The leaves still drop saplings, sticks and apples.
- It only triggers on logs with leaves attached, so log cabins are safe. Leaves you placed and a neighboring tree’s leaves are left alone.
Farming and mobs
Harvester Hoe: right-click a crop to harvest every ripe crop touching it, including mixed wheat and carrot fields.
- Drops go straight into your inventory.
- Each plot is replanted from the harvest first, then from seeds in your inventory.
- Unripe crops are left alone, and Fortune increases yield.
- It works on wheat, carrots, potatoes, beetroot and nether wart.
- It costs 1 durability per crop and stops before it would break.
- It now has 10,000 durability.
Breeder: a barrel you stock with animal food, or feed with hoppers.
Every 5 minutes it breeds the adult animals within 7 blocks and uses one food item per animal. It breeds up to 3 pairs of each kind per feeding and skips a kind when 24 or more are nearby. Cows, mooshrooms, sheep and goats eat wheat. Pigs eat carrots, potatoes or beetroot. Chickens eat seeds. Rabbits eat carrots or dandelions. Llamas eat hay bales. Camels eat cactus. The timer only runs while the Breeder’s chunk is loaded. Breaking it gives the Breeder back and spills its contents.
Safari Net: catch a mob by hitting or right-clicking it, and release it elsewhere by right-clicking a block.
- The mob keeps its name, health, age, variant, armor and trades.
- It works on animals, villagers and most monsters, but not bosses, wardens or players.
Spawner Wrench: mine a spawner with it to get a Captured Spawner item with the mob type kept inside, then place it somewhere else.
- It has 64 uses and repairs with iron.
- Only the wrench can move spawners.
Light
- Held light: light sources in your hand glow like placed ones (torch 14, lantern 15, soul fire 10, redstone torch 7). It doesn’t work underwater.
- Handheld Lantern: made for the off-hand, since Bedrock won’t let torches go there. It gives full brightness while your main hand stays free.
- Mining Helmet: a Miner’s Lamp Kit (lantern and iron chain) right-clicked while wearing any helmet turns it into a head lamp. The kit only adds a label, so enchantments, trims, dye and durability are kept.
- Spawn Overlay: marks the floor within about 12 blocks where hostile mobs can spawn. Red means any time of day. Yellow means night only. Placing a torch removes the mark under it. It’s off by default, and each player has their own setting.
Inventory and storage
Sorting Wand: right-click a chest, barrel or shulker box to merge and sort it, with tools and armor first. Sneak and right-click the air to sort your inventory.
- Enchanted, renamed and damaged items are never merged.
- The wand doesn’t wear out.
Sorting Chest: a placeable chest that moves what you put in it into nearby chests or barrels (within 10 blocks) that already hold that item. Unmatched items stay in it.
Magnet: pulls dropped items within 10 blocks to you while it’s in your hotbar or off-hand. Sneak and right-click toggles it, it starts on, and it doesn’t wear out.
Trash Can: a barrel that empties itself with a puff of smoke once all 27 slots are full. Hoppers can feed it.
Auto-Replace: when your held tool breaks, the same kind of tool from your inventory takes its slot. It prefers the spare with matching enchantments, then the most durability. This also works with blocks when you run out it will put a new stack into your hand.
Death and server features
Grave Compass: you get one when you respawn, or you can craft one. Holding it shows an arrow and the distance to where you died, plus the dimension if it differs. It crumbles when you reach the grave, and the vanilla Recovery Compass gets the same readout.
Sleep Voting: when half the Overworld players are in bed for about 5 seconds, the night is skipped and the weather clears. Chat shows the count.
Settings, commands and recipes
Settings menu: it opens from the Guide Book or with /scriptevent qol:settings. It has per-player toggles for Auto-Replace and the Magnet.
Commands: /scriptevent qol: followed by treecutter, veinminer, magnet, grave, cleargrave, guide, guidebook or status. These are the fallback if a player has no sneak button.
Recipes: every item has a crafting recipe, and the Guide Book shows them.
