Beasts of the Horizon

Welcome to Beasts of the Horizon! A prehistoric journey featuring incredible creatures, unique experiences, and an eternal world waiting to be discovered... but beware: not all of them are friendly.

°Stenonichus

-A medium-sized, somewhat lazy predator; it is intelligent enough to open doors and use weapons but fears water. They inhabit Plains, Roofed Forests, Savannas, Birch Forests, and Taigas. They can be tamed with any type of meat, except fish.

°Thylacine

-Better known as the "Tasmanian Tiger," this is a highly social predator that travels in packs of up to three individuals. If a pack member is attacked, it lets out a howl that alerts all Thylacines within a 35-block radius. They inhabit Plains, Jungles, Savannas, Plateaus, and Deserts. They can be tamed with any type of meat except fish; once tamed, feeding them "Thylacine Treat" allows you to make them perform tricks.

°Sabre-toothed Salmon

-An aquatic predator that is extremely aggressive toward the player. When chasing the player, it opens its jaws after five seconds; if it bites you, it deals double damage. Occasionally, it will approach the surface and leap out of the water. It cannot be tamed. They inhabit Oceans and Rivers.

°Maip

-A very calm mob during the day—unless you get too close—but a fierce, aggressive predator at night. If it bites you, it inflicts the "Bleeding" effect, causing additional damage for five seconds. When its health drops to 30 points, it falls unconscious; in this state, you can tame it using Rabbit Stew. Once tamed, you can equip it with a saddle and ride it. Using the "Maip Claw" item while mounted commands it to attack. They inhabit Plains, Roofed Forests, and Pale Gardens.

°Microraptor

-A peaceful mob that is very shy around other entities. Every now and then, they can jump to "glide" for a few seconds. They inhabit jungles and forests of all kinds. They can be tamed using any type of seed, and once tamed, you can carry one on your shoulder just like a parrot.

°Horseshoe Crab

-A very hardy crustacean that hides in soil, gravel, moss, or sand when attacked, emerging from its hiding spot once the attacker moves away. They inhabit Warm Oceans, Coral Reefs, and coastal areas.

°Ara Erythrocephala

-A very calm ancient macaw. It can be tamed using any type of seed, and once tamed, it can perch on your shoulder. If you use the "Erythrocephala Feather" item while it is on your shoulder and wearing armor, you can launch it like a projectile at any enemy; it will then fly back to you. They inhabit Jungles, Roofed Forests, Taigas, and Savannas.

°Huehuecanauhtlus

-A neutral herbivorous dinosaur. It can be tamed with Torchflowers, and once tamed, it can be ridden without a saddle. While riding it, using the "Huehuecanauhtlus Hoof" item allows it to perform a dash that damages any mobs in its path. Using the "Huehuecanauhtlus Scale" item while mounted allows you to command it to attack. If tamed, giving it a bucket of water causes it to move toward and water nearby crops. They inhabit Plains, Meadows, Taigas, and Savannas.
