## Winds & Kites The world now has **wind**: a direction and a strength from Calm to Gale. It shifts slowly through the day, picks a new course every hour, gets stronger with rain, thunderstorms and altitude, and stops under roofs, trees and in caves. ### Read the wind - **Pinwheel**: hold it to see the wind on your screen. An arrow shows where it blows *relative to where you look*, plus its strength and whether it is rising or dropping. Use it for a full report. - **Weathervane**: place it on a block. The copper arrow turns smoothly with the wind, the little wheel spins faster in strong wind, and the red tip marks North. Click it for the **forecast for the next hour**. ### Fly kites - **Paper kites** in red, blue, yellow and green, with a tail and a real-looking string. Stronger wind sends them higher and farther. - **The wind pulls you!** With a kite in the air, jump to **glide** with slow falling, carried by the wind. Strong wind even drags you on the ground (sneak to brace). - **Gust Leap**: in strong wind, jump to get thrown into the sky, then glide down. - **Storm Kite**: copper and leather. It flies even in a gale, goes higher, pulls harder and sparks in thunderstorms. ### Messenger Kite Hold a note, a book or a gift in your off hand, use the Messenger Kite and pick a friend. The kite flies off and drops from the sky next to them, and it stays with them so they can reply. ### Also - 7 achievements: First Flight, Weather Watcher, Rainbow Squadron, Top of the World, Gone with the Wind, Storm Rider, Air Mail - Fair survival recipes, safe in Hardcore (you always get slow falling when the wind lets go) - English, Portuguese and Spanish. All art is original. ### Install (Java 26.3) This is a **data pack + resource pack**, so it works on Realms, servers and single player. Download both files (the resource pack is the additional file of each release) and enable them. /function winds:give gives every item.
