-Edit: 85% Complete as of 3/5/26. Had an idea with the Villager Cleric special ability, finished making a separate datapack for that special case for it / Witch&Evoker. Once I make this datapack 100%, will also make that special datapack public as well, since they complement each other

Villager Self Protection

Peaceful doesn’t mean defenseless , hrrm hrmm!!

Compatible with Minecraft 1.20.1, this datapack enhances villager AI, combat mechanics, and village defense systems for both singleplayer and multiplayer worlds.

Upgrade your world with a vanilla friendly overhaul where villagers fight back, defend themselves, and support each other.

Each villager profession gains unique abilities, ( even nitwits too xD) transforming villages into living, reactive defense systems.

Villager Cleric – Restoration

Cures Zombie Villagers back into normal villagers
Supports village recovery during attacks

🧱 Villager Mason – Golem Protocol

Summons Iron Golems when under attack
Reinforces village defense automatically

Villager Librarian – Knowledge Aura

Applies debuffs to hostile mobs
Weakens enemies using vanilla mechanics

Villager Toolsmith – Disarm Shockwave (Completed as of 2/27/2026)

Disrupts nearby enemies with weapon weakening effects
Applies debuffs like slowness, weakness, and more

Villager Armorer – Bulwark Support

Buffs nearby villagers with defensive effects
Heals and actively reinforces Iron Golems
