Slender Man

Adds Slender Man as a hostile entity.

This data pack adds Slender Man into your Minecraft world as a hostile antagonistic force.

[ATTENTION] You need to use this resource pack, otherwise the data pack will not work.

Slender Man has a chance to spawn in any forest biome at night. He has 3 different phases that change his aggression and behavior. Slender Man natrually progresses through these phases along side the player when they progress in their world.

[SPOILERS] Complete feature list:

In a new world all players start with slender difficulty 0:

Slender difficulty phase 0:

  • custom model (regular one)
  • custom sound
  • random spawn chance if player in any type of forest at night
  • stalks player and disappears if looked at

After obtaining iron armor achievement, difficulty phase is raised to 1

Slender difficulty phase 1:

  • custom model (with tentacles)
  • custom jumpscare sound
  • random spawn chance if player in any type of forest at night (a bit higher chance than phase 0 slender)
  • spawns way closer to player, jumpscares the player that way
  • blinds player and then vanishes

After obtaining diamond armor achievement, difficulty phase is raised to 2

Slender difficulty phase 2:

  • difficulty of the world must be easy or higher, because slender is a hostile mob
  • random chance that boss fight encounter starts if player is in any type of forest at night
  • 1 out of 8 random warning messages appears in chat
  • creepy theme music starts and gets more intense until slender spawns
  • slender spawns and the fight begins:
    • during the whole fight, an intense slender theme plays
    • player has darkness effect applied
    • black smoke envelopes the player and slender
    • slender moves slowly towards the player to damage them
    • slender’s attacks apply wither effect
    • slender has a random chance to teleport around the player during the fight
    • slender has a random chance to teleport the player around himself during the fight
    • slender will teleport if the player was close enough to him for more than 3 seconds (so the fight lasts longer)
    • if the player dies or runs away, slender despawns and a grace period is applied (slender cant spawn for the rest of the current night)
    • if the player kills slender, he will drop 1 out of 8 random pages and the grace period is applied (slender cant spawn for the rest of the current night)

Players can throw pages into fire or lava to burn them:

  • a custom sound will play
  • the current number of pages that have been burnt is shown in chat
  • if 8/8 pages are burned, a creepy sound plays and slender is banished from the world
  • slender cannot spawn in the world anymore if he is banished

This is the “end” of the data pack and its progression
