Ode to Gods

Ode To Gods allows players to create Altars anywhere they want and make offers to the mythological greek gods in order to get their blessings and favors.

Altars are built as show in the image gallery.The Sandstone blocks can be of any type (Slabs, Stairs), or alternatively can be replaced with Red Sandstone, Calcite, Diorite and other stone blocks. Gold Blocks and Iron Blocks can be replaced with any valid Beacon base block. Light sources must be placed on all of the 4 pillars (Torches, Glowstone, Campfires, Shroomlight, Sea Lantern), and an item frame with a Diamond must be placed in the center point like shown.

After creation, the Altar will automatically collect any nearby experience points and fuel itself. After collecting 50 experience intitially, it will consume them and become active. Once activated, items and experience can be sacrificed to get the attention of different gods.

Possible offerings are as follow (the numbers represent the amount of stored experience needed to gain a god's attention):

• Zeus - Copper Block (30) - Changes the weather to rain. If it is already raining, makes it thunder instead.
• Hera - Peony (300) - Spawns 1-2 baby Villagers
• Poseidon - Heart of the Sea (50) - Grants Dolphin's Grace and Conduit Power to nearby players for a very long time.
• Demeter - Hay Block (500) - Drops 10-25 random seeds and makes all crops grow 4x faster for some time.
• Athena - Book (Any) - Doubles the amount of stored experience and then releases it for the player to collect.
• Apollo - Glowstone (100) - Sets time to day, spawns jukebox and random music discs, grants Regeneration
• Artemis - Shroomlight (100) - Sets time to night, clears all effects from nearby players
• Ares - Diamond Spear (1400) - Grants Ares' Spear (a REALLY powerful Spear)
• Aphrodite - Rose Bush (15) - Makes nearby entities fall in love
• Hephaestus - Diamond Pickaxe (1500) - Gives Hephaestus' Pickaxe (faster mining speed)
• Hermes - Leather Boots (1400) - Gives Hermes' Boots (increases movement speed while worn)
• Dionysus - Sweet Berries (60) - Gives Red Wine (Regeneration III and Nausea)
• Hestia - Campfire (50) - Grants Instant Health and Absorption to nearby players
• Hades - Wither Rose (100) - Gives a Wither Skeleton Skull in return
