Full honesty, I know nothing about datapacks at all. There were a few things I wanted to change for QOL purposes to minecolonies so I tried really hard to figure out exactly what I could do. This ultimately was super simple once you could understand how all the pieces fit together, I'm surprised no one has done it before.
I don't know what changes from version to version because I've never done anything like mod or make anything like this except for my MC server as a custom thing, which is typically perpetually using the ATM 9 modpack. I believe this should work with any version of minecolonies and forge. This could also hypothetically work for any other version of the game(?) but I have no idea, really.
But, I do run a MC server running 1.20.1 and ATM 9 with some custom additions. The server is specifically aimed at minecolonies and we have an economy and everything that I'm very proud of. Super small, super tight knit. So I'll leave a discord link in the description.

Also, I'm disabled but I'm trying to be a writer ultimately, but I'm super project focused and my community is the proudest thing I've ever done. Everything I do will most likely be released for free, but I do want to say that I have a patreon because I make very little in my day to day.
