Kaleidoscope Deco is a spin-off mod of Kaleidoscope, driven entirely by Datapacks and targeting Minecraft version 1.21.5 and above. This mod emphasizes the decorative aspects of Kaleidoscope models, discarding complex functionalities and retaining only simple interactions.

Modularity and Customization

Kaleidoscope Deco divides its content into multiple modules based on model themes. Players can use the Minecraft Data Pack / Resource Pack Builder to select the modules they wish to include, or download a complete data pack containing all modules directly from the Releases page.

Modules are categorized into core packs and extension packs. Core packs primarily contain decorative models, while extension packs add functional enhancements on top of their corresponding core packs. Players may choose modules according to their needs.

Available Modules:

• Core Packs:

  • Doll: Adorable creature plushies obtainable via a gacha machine.
  • Credits: Plushies representing early supporters.
  • Cookery: Decorative kitchenware and picnic items.
  • Bar: Currently includes a display board; this theme will be significantly expanded soon.
  • Chinese: Classic Chinese-style decorations, such as lanterns and blessing belts.
  • Lab: Indoor decorations suitable for studies or laboratories.
  • Holiday: Festive and vacation-themed decor, including string lights and beach umbrellas.
  • Road: Outdoor street decorations like traffic cones and warning signs.

• Extension Packs:

  • Doll Plus: Adds unique sound effects and particle effects to each plushie, along with additional interactions. Requires the Doll core pack.
  • Cookery Plus: Introduces a stove and cooking mechanics, along with many new cookable food items.
