HopEnchant
A simple but fun datapack: every time you jump, the item you're holding has a chance to get an automatic random enchantment — complete with a gacha-style rarity system!
✨ Key Features
🎲 RNG Rarity System
Every time you jump, the game rolls a rarity for the enchantment you'll receive, with fixed odds:
| Rarity | Chance | Enchantment Level |
|---|---|---|
| ⚪ Common | 55% | Low level |
| 🟢 Uncommon | 30% | Mid level |
| 🔵 Rare | 12% | High level |
| 🟡 Legendary | 3% | Always max level! |
The higher the rarity you roll, the higher the enchantment level. Lucky enough to get Legendary? The enchantment is instantly locked to its maximum possible level (e.g. Sharpness straight to level V).
💬 Real-Time Chat Notifications
Every time you successfully get an enchantment, a chat notification appears showing:
- The enchantment name and level (roman numerals, e.g.
Sharpness V) - The rarity you rolled, color-coded per tier
- The item category it fits (Sword, Tool, Armor, Bow, Crossbow, Trident, Mace, Boots, etc.)
Plus a sound effect every time you get a new enchantment — instant feedback without needing to open your inventory.
⚖️ Fully Respects Vanilla Rules
Built on top of the vanilla /enchant command, so:
- Enchantments only succeed on items that are actually compatible — it won't force a Sword enchant onto a food item, for example.
- Vanilla enchantment conflict rules still apply (e.g. Sharpness, Smite, and Bane of Arthropods will never appear together on the same item).
- Curse of Binding and Curse of Vanishing are intentionally banned from the random pool, so they'll never get in the way of your progress.
⚡ Responsive Jump Detection
Jump detection is built to be as responsive as possible (based on the player's vertical velocity change), so the enchantment is processed on the very same tick you jump — with virtually no delay.
🎮 How to Play
- Install the datapack into your Minecraft world's
