Druidic Magic

Druidic Magic is a datapack adding an end game survival friendly way to modify the biome of an area through custom druidic potions!

The cool new updates of Minecraft frustrated me as I had to travel further and further in my forever word to discover them, giving me absolutely no chance to build in the new biomes. This frustration peaked with the arrival of the dappled forest, so I decided to create a data pack that would allow me to make these biomes come to me without feeling like I'm cheating. As such, this pack let's you create custom potions with complex and expensive recipes that you can throw on the floor to modify the biome of any area of your world (each potion covering a 16x16 area). This pack is focused on being rewarding and balanced, as I think modifying your environment should not be an easy task achievable before the end game.

How Does It Work:

Biome potions are all crafted exclusively thanks to the potion brewer. The first steps of all the potions are identical and require rare ingredients. A last ingredient will determine which biome your potion will create. As of now, the available potions correspond to: Dappled forest, Pale Garden, Dark Forest, Plains, Jungle, Desert, Badlands, Snowy Plains, Mangrove Swamp, Oceans, Freezing Oceans and Warm Oceans. The details of the potion brewing recipes are given in the image below!

Why this datapack?

This datapack is first and foremost done as a personal effort to customise my 8 years survival world. On one hand, this means that I built this datapack to be future and update proof (I hope) and that it is likely going to be regularly updated in the future. As such, you can easily add this pack to your long-term worlds without being too scared of future world corruption or malfunctions. On the other hand, it means that although I am very open to feedback and suggestions, I will only add the features that I see fit for my world and my long-term vision for it.

How to install?

-Download the datapack. You can also download the associated Resource Pack, which is not necessary but improves a couple of potion textures.

-Simply slide the datapack in the datapack folder of your save and the ressource pack in your ressource pack folder (don't forget to activate it in game in the ressourcepack menu).
