This datapack reworks the drowned's attack behavior — after landing a hit with their trident, they lose the ability to throw it and switch to dangerous melee combat.
How it works:
When a drowned hits a player with a thrown trident, the trident is moved from their main hand to their off hand. The drowned then receives a strength boost, becoming a threat only up close.
Features:
Deals 6 hearts in melee combat
Trident can still drop on death
No tick checks (no performance impact)
In rare cases, incorrect target detection may occur — does not affect gameplay
