This project overhauls the Deeper and Darker mod Dimension.
This project is a commissioned work done by Bomberfish7 so a huge shoutout for all the work he has done on this. This project is for my modpack project Crafting Paths (early stages)

This datapack requires Deeper and Darker mod.

This Datapack requires Kubejs or another datapack loader.
Working on a better solution.

Some of the key features of this datapack.

It opens most of the world to be more like the nether.
Introduces a new biome that consists mainly of deepslate and dripstone.
Adds dripstone generation to the native biomes.
Modifies the native biomes a bit to fit better with the new world gen.
Introduces a new biome that consists mainly of deepdark(sculk), deepslate, and dripstone.
Floods the bottom of the world.
Adds flooded ancient cities to spawn through out the world at the lowest point.

This datapack will have a secondary datapack to add a new boss unique to this world.

Future plans consist of a new bone biome that is overgrown with sculk, as well as many new dungeons and repurposing the native ones.

Ideas and Inspiration came from a couple places, I wanted a complete portal dimension but the deeper and darker felt like it was slightly to different from the ancient city.
Flooded ancient city was from sculky bits as well as the original idea of the expansive generation. These mods are by KaboomRoads .... and sculky bits is actually featured in the pictures.
I also have always loved the dripstone and how minecraft has done that, as I was the author of wild caves 2 in the past, I have always loved the stalagmites and stalagtites. However the first one to actually do what I was imagining or wanted was the great below by adam98991, and with that just recently I think last month.
But with deeper and darker as the best, combining some of the most attractive features of each of these world generation features, you get an amazing dimension.

Current bugs, changes, and fixes that need updated.

Fish don't stop spawning in the blooming caverns,(need to test without all performance mods)

Lava and magma need to be added to the overcast columns
More gloomstlate stone in the overcast columns
Add more amber columns

More echo soil needs to be added to echoing forest
Increased sculk around echo soil

Add more sculk grime in blooming caverns

Increase sculk tendrils and vines throughout the dimension

Add hanging dungeons near the top of the world.
Add ancient cube dungeons that is a sculkified type of cocoon(boss room)
