What's new

EchoTime — v1.1.0 → v1.2.0

DAI 3.3 Modernization

  • Updated EchoTime for DAI 3.3.
  • Updated managed ADDON version to v1.2.0.
  • Preserved the stable dai_time_reverse namespace and native item IDs.
  • Remains fully datapack-only with no required Resource Pack.

Player Runtime Optimization

  • Consolidated the 20 TPS player runtime behind one global player selection.

  • Replaced repeated player-wide scans used for:

    • Player ID assignment
    • Historical migrations
    • Item initialization
    • Temporal Stream hold state
    • Cooldowns
    • Manual trigger controls
    • Ability routing
  • Player-local runtime work now executes from a single per-player dispatcher.

Chrono Anchor Optimization

  • Consolidated Chrono Anchor maintenance behind one frozen-entity dispatcher.

  • Replaced separate global scans for active and expired frozen entities.

  • Frozen entities still receive full 20 TPS maintenance.

  • Chrono Anchor behavior remains unchanged:

    • 10-block radius
    • 2-second freeze
    • Caster remains free to move

Temporal History Optimization

  • Consolidated the 10 Hz temporal-history engine behind one global player selection per sample.

  • Preserved the bounded recorder introduced previously.

  • Reversal Field still records at most:

    • 16 nearby non-player timelines
    • Within the actual 10-block field radius
    • Per player/sample
  • Existing epoch guards continue preventing duplicated work when multiple players overlap.

Rewind Helper-State Cleanup

  • Removed repeated global current-player helper-tag clearing from active player rewind steps.
  • Removed repeated global current-entity helper-tag clearing from active entity rewind steps.
  • Temporary rewind helper state is now released locally after each use.
  • Stale transient helper tags are cleaned once during datapack load.

Migration Efficiency

  • Added a dedicated v1.2.0 migration marker.
  • Historical migration tags are no longer forcibly removed on every /reload.
  • Missing older migrations are handled locally only when actually required.
  • Existing stable player IDs, cooldowns, and item state are preserved.

Temporal Recall

  • Preserved the full 3-second emergency rewind.
  • Movement and facing continue rewinding through recorded history.
  • Preserved the enchanted Ender Eye presentation.
  • Existing cooldown behavior remains unchanged.

Reversal Field

  • Preserved localized entity rewind within 10 blocks.
  • Preserved up to 3 seconds of recorded entity history.
  • Existing health, fire, air, projectile-ground state, fall distance, motion restoration, and simulation-state handling remain intact.

Temporal Stream

  • Preserved continuous hold-to-rewind behavior.
  • Maximum rewind remains 5 seconds.
  • Releasing the item still resumes from the historical frame currently reached.
  • Hold-state detection remains at full server-tick responsiveness.

Native Items

Preserved all four DAI-native items:

  • Temporal Recall
  • Chrono Anchor
  • Reversal Field
  • Temporal Stream

Stable IDs remain unchanged for world and addon compatibility.

World of Addons Compatibility

  • Preserved the native content identities recognized by World of Addons.
  • EchoTime can continue appearing as the Echo Anomaly champion when installed alongside a compatible World of Addons release.
  • World of Addons remains optional and is not a dependency.

Performance Summary

  • Player runtime global scans: many per tick → 1
  • Frozen-entity maintenance scans: 2 per tick → 1
  • 10 Hz player-history dispatcher: multiple player scans → 1
  • Repeated global rewind helper-tag sweeps: removed from active playback
  • Temporal gameplay timing: unchanged
