Craftable Painting Variants

A data & resource pack that allows you to craft all the painting variants along with giving them individual textures.

This is a data & resource pack that adds craftable painting variants to the vanilla game along with individual textures!

For (Version 6) 1.21.5+ the painting textures will now show up in the creative inventory!

Note: The Resource Pack is the Textures & the Data Pack is the Recipes
(You can choose to only do one if you'd like)

Recipes


  • Recipes are unlocked when a painting enters the inventory.
  • All the recipes are shapeless.

Commands


 

/Function

Type /Function give: to get the paintings without crafting them or having to type out a long /give command!

/function example

The /give command:
/give @p minecraft:painting[minecraft:painting/variant=kebab]

Compatibility


  • Data Pack Version 1 & 2 only works for 1.20.5 - 1.20.6
  • Data Pack Version 3 only works for 1.21 - 1.21.1
  • Data Pack Version 4 only works for 1.21.2 - 1.21.3
  • Data Pack Version 5 only works for 1.21.4
  • Data Pack Version 6 only works for 1.21.5
  • resource pack version 1 - 4 only works for 1.20.5 - 1.21.3
  • resource pack version 5 only works for 1.21.4
  • resource pack version 6 only works for 1.21.5

/give @p minecraft:painting[minecraft:entity_data={variant: "minecraft:kebab", id: "minecraft:painting"},minecraft:custom_model_data={strings:["kebab"]}]

/trigger:

The Trigger command is an easier to type /give command.

/trigger command example

/Give:

/give @p minecraft:painting[minecraft:entity_data={variant: "minecraft:kebab", id: "minecraft:painting"}, minecraft:custom_model_data=1]

The first area marked in red is the variant (Changing this changes what the painting will be)
The second area marked in red is the custom model data number (Changing this only changes what the texture will be)

(Note: the custom model data won't change the texture if you don't have the resource pack installed)
