📦 Complete Sorting System in One Command!

Tired of moving items by hand between storage containers? Tri is an automatic sorting datapack that scans a configurable area and sends each item to the container labeled with that exact item. Manage your storage with one command: /trigger tri.

Designed for Minecraft Java Edition 1.20.4, Tri works with a wide range of containers and even certain item-carrying entities. Set up item frames or renamed Shulker Boxes to choose where items should go, then let the system do the sorting for you.

✨ Features

Wide Container Support: Chests, trapped chests, barrels, hoppers, dispensers, droppers, furnaces, blast furnaces, smokers, brewing stands, chiseled bookshelves, all Shulker Box colors, chest/hopper minecarts, and chest boats or rafts.
Item-Carrying Entities: Also handles inventories carried by donkeys, mules, llamas, trader llamas and Allays, plus items held in the mouths of foxes and dolphins.
Custom Sorting Destinations: Put an item frame containing the target item on any face of a container, or rename a Shulker Box to an item name or item ID.
Adjustable Sorting Area: Turn sorting on or off and change the radius from 5 to 30 blocks. Opening the menu recenters the area on your current position.
Control and Feedback: Exclude containers with the Anti-Sort Wand, automatically skip locked containers, track the total number of sorted items, unlock advancements, and follow each cycle with a progress bar and completion notification.
Saved Settings: Your sorting radius, enabled state, area and total counter persist after reloading or restarting the world.

🚀 How to Use

Stand in the center of your storage area, open chat, and enter:

/trigger tri

Use the menu to activate or deactivate sorting and adjust the area radius. Label containers with item frames or use renamed Shulker Boxes to tell Tri where each item belongs.

(Note: Ender Chests are not supported because their inventory belongs to each player, rather than to the block. Items without a matching destination label are left where they are.)

🛠️ Installation

Download the datapack .zip file.
Place it in the datapacks folder of your Minecraft Java Edition world save.
Enter /reload, then run /trigger tri to open the menu.
For translated menus and messages, also install and enable the separate tri_resourcepack.zip resource pack.
