instead of placing hundreds of bookshelfs and breaking them for books you can just open the crafting table and put the bookshelf into it and uncraft a bookshelf giving you 3 books for each bookshelf so a stack (64) of bookshelfs = 3 stacks (192) of books so you can sell it to a villager for emeralds or make enchantment books
