What's new

AutoCraft MineShaft v2.1

DAI 1.9.9 Update

  • Renamed the pack and experience to AutoCraft MineShaft.
  • Jumped the release version from v0.5.6 to v2.1.
  • Updated pack metadata and documentation for DAI 1.9.9.
  • Added dai.version: 2.1 to pack.mcmeta for DAI-managed datapack version synchronization.
  • Kept the internal experience ID dai_auto_rpg:auto_rpg so existing saves remain compatible and discoverable.
  • New experience worlds now use the AutoCraft MineShaft save name.

Home Room Overhaul

  • Home is now explicitly played in Survival Mode.
  • Floors 1–10 explicitly switch the player into Adventure Mode.
  • First join, resume, death recovery, normal Home returns, and Safety Rope retreats all restore Survival Mode.
  • Safety Rope now applies Survival after teleporting Home, preventing Adventure Mode from leaking back into the hub.
  • Added a gamemode failsafe that repairs incorrect player modes based on the current MineShaft room.

Protected Home Foundations

  • Added DAI 1.9.9 cancellable block-break reactions for the authored Home structure.
  • Protected the main Home:
    • Floor
    • Ceiling
    • Outer walls
    • North lift framing
  • Protected the farm room:
    • Floor
    • Ceiling
    • Outer walls
  • Protection is coordinate-based rather than blanket protection.
  • Crops, barrels, crafting stations, storage, and other intended interior utility blocks remain usable.

Home Farm

  • Added a compact side-room farm through the retired east-side Home gate.
  • Added:
    • Mature wheat
    • Carrots
    • Sweet berries
    • Irrigation
    • Composter
    • Barrel storage
    • Hay storage
  • The farm is constructed once so crop growth and harvested state persist naturally.
  • Existing saves receive the farm through a non-destructive migration without resetting inventory, equipment, progression, or dungeon geometry.

Floor Mementos

  • Removed the old floor-unlock sigil crystal rewards.
  • Bosses now award permanent trophy-style Floor Mementos representing the floor defeated.
  • Progression remains scoreboard-controlled, so losing or storing a trophy cannot relock a floor.

Mementos

  • Floor 1: Foreman's Core — Slimeworks

  • Floor 2: Overseer's Compass — Abandoned Shafts

  • Floor 3: Surveyor's Lens — Flooded Excavation

  • Floor 4: Sporekeeper's Bloom — Fungal Hollows

  • Floor 5: Foundry Heart — Deep Foundry

  • Floor 6: Resonant Lens — Crystal Fault

  • Floor 7: Engineer's Pocketwatch — Industrial Deepworks

  • Floor 8: Rift Cinder — Nether Breach

  • Floor 9: Deep Survey Fragment — Ancient Depths

  • Floor 10: Heart of the Mine — Campaign Completion

  • Added migration support that reconstructs previously earned mementos from permanent floor progression.

  • Floor 10's trophy is only restored when campaign completion has actually been recorded.

  • Legacy sigil collectibles are removed during migration without changing unlock state.

Gameplay & World Behavior

  • Combat remains completely manual.

  • DAI autonomous:

    • Movement
    • Combat
    • World editing

    remain disabled for the experience.

  • The Home lift continues to launch the deepest currently unlocked floor.

  • Dungeon rooms and corridors continue generating physically as routes are unlocked.

  • Floors 1–10 and their existing encounters, bosses, keys, progression, and generation systems are preserved.

  • DAI-native void world generation remains enabled.

  • Nether and End remain disabled for AutoCraft MineShaft experience worlds.

Lighting & Corridor Fixes

  • Home lighting uses normal vanilla wall torches attached to permanent walls.
  • Legacy Home lantern and chain positions remain cleaned up through migration.
  • Generated corridors clear doorway torches before removing their supporting wall blocks.
  • Prevents floating/broken torches and unwanted torch item drops when routes open.

Save Compatibility

  • Existing Auto RPG / MineShaft worlds remain supported.
  • Existing v0.4.x progression migrations remain supported.
  • Existing Floor 1 and Floor 2 geometry and progression remain intact.
  • Existing campaign, Home lighting, farm, and memento migrations are retained.
  • Existing worlds are not renamed internally or disconnected from the experience.
  • Inventory, equipment, dungeon progression, and unlocked floors are preserved during migration.

DAI 1.9.9 Compatibility

  • Target updated to DAI 1.9.9.
  • pack_format remains 48.
  • Added explicit managed-pack version metadata:
    • dai.version = 2.1
  • This allows DAI 1.9.9 to detect and replace older AutoCraft MineShaft datapack versions while retaining the same pack identity.
  • Existing experience, title-screen, world-generation, reaction, and server-owned function-action systems remain compatible with DAI 1.9.9.

Validation

  • 127 JSON / metadata files parsed.
  • 482 functions validated.
  • 748 local function references checked.
  • 118 reactions parsed.
  • 13 Home protection reactions validated.
  • 10 memento helper functions validated.
  • 0 static validation errors.
