My friend group and I grew up on skyblocks. Thing is, we always got bored after we made our initial home base and there was nothing left to do. So to keep everyone on my Realm longer, I used to sneak on creative mode when no one else was online and build far-off islands as a surprise. All just to keep everyone engaged and give them a new mission on the horizon to try and bridge toward. In the end though, I still had to pretend to be surprised by what we found.
More than a decade later, I finally figured out worldgen to point where I could code a custom dimension with an infinite amount of islands. All random. Best part is, I got some of the gang to get together and test it out!
This data pack was originally just intended for our own personal use but I figured I might as well share it with anyone else who could have fun with it.
To enter the custom dimension type, "/execute in bracken:altocraftus run tp @s ~ ~ ~"
Fly around until you find a good starter-island and invite your friends! Remember to set everyone's spawn point before setting your gamemodes to survival. It's going to be much harder than your usual skyblocks adventure because you won't have a starter chest (unless you decide to make one).
