[YSM] Star Wars Clones Battalions Pack

Some types of clone battalions from Star Wars Battlefront 2

If you wanted to create something in Minecraft in the spirit of Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017), but with complete freedom, this pack is for you. Inside, there are 24 different types of clone battalions: from classic Republic fighters to elite units with recognizable camouflage. They can be used as separate classes, factions, or squads to build your own scenarios, PvP events, and role‑playing battles in the Battlefront style.

The pack is tailored for Yes Steve Model (YSM) — a mod that replaces Steve’s standard model with custom models featuring textures and animations. You can switch between clones right in the game, distribute battalions among factions — and suddenly you’re not just playing Minecraft, but a blocky “Battlefront 2” with clones.

24 battalions are enough to divide the players into two or three factions, add NPC clones, and recreate the atmosphere of maps like Geonosis, Kashyyyk, or Mandalore. And if you enable server‑side model synchronization, all participants will see each other in the correct gear.

Installation takes a couple of minutes, but there are a few important nuances.

  1. Install the Yes Steve Model mod itself.
Download YSM from Modrinth or CurseForge and place the .jar file in the mods folder. For Fabric versions, you may need Fabric API and (in older versions) Forge Config API Port. If you’re playing on a server, the mod is needed on both the client and the server, otherwise model synchronization won’t work.
  2. Find the folder for custom models.
After the first launch of the game, a folder will appear in the main directory: config/yes_steve_model/

Inside, you’re interested in two folders:

custom — models from here work without authorization. It’s convenient to put your packs and test models here.

auth — models from here require authorization (but some packs are specifically made “free” and work even in auth without confirmation).

If you’re installing a ready‑made pack from another author, follow their instructions. Many packs for Star Wars are placed in auth.

  3. Place the model files in the auth folder.
  4. Reload the models in the game
If the game is already running, you don’t need to log in again. Just open the console and enter:

    text
    /ysm model reload
The mod will rescan the folders and pick up the new models.

An alternative method is to press Alt + Y, open the models menu, and click the update button (the icon with arrows in the top‑right corner).

    5. Select the model
In the same Alt + Y menu, select the desired clone. If the model button is gray, it means the model is not authorized (for auth) or has not loaded. Check the path and file format.

Important: First, you need to unpack the downloaded archive and move the folder with the files to the auth folder. If you move the zip archive there, the models won’t appear in the game.

/ysm model reload

/ysm auth @nickname add [id model]

If you have any wishes or suggestions, I’m waiting for you in my Discord server. Also, I’m looking for animators who would help me add custom animations to the clones, such as a military salute or the GO Go gesture.
