What's this?

This is a set of various mod configs to make the modpack Age of Bewitchment less intensive to run.

It is done primarily by reducing the amount of fancy rendering and particles for each mod which provides such options, and a providing a set of OptiFine options to do so even more. Feel free to adjust your in-game settings to your liking once you install this package.

This project is only meant for usage with Age of Bewitchment versions 1.7.0 and up. For versions 1.6.0.1 or older of the modpack, install an "S" version of the modpack from its beta builds, which is meant to accomplish the same goal.

After some testing I can safely say that this set of configurations successfully reduces both RAM and CPU usage by a little bit while standing idle, and it also speeds up chunk generation and loading. My testing was done with 5120Mb of RAM and a CPU with 4 cores/3.4GHz.

Installation Instructions

Download the appropriate version of this project for your Age of Bewitchment Instalation. For example "Performance Configuration for AoB 1.7.0" is meant ONLY for modpack version 1.7.0.
Extract the zip file DIRECTLY onto your Age of Bewitchment installation/root folder, meaning the folder containing the "config", "mods", "saves" etc. folders.
Run the game, join a world, and readjust your settings if you wish to keep some visual goodness.
