A basic datapack I made for personal use, as I play on a local server with such bad chunk generation speed that exploration is next to impossible. This datapack aims to alleviate some of the issues this causes, as well as improve other aspects of vanilla Minecraft that annoy me. I figured others might want to try it as well, though. A README file is included in the download with the full list of changes, but to summarize, this datapack:
- Expands the functionality of stonecutter blocks
- Makes chickens functionally obsolete
- Offers alternatives to vanilla crafting recipes
- Can be customized with relative ease (simply remove recipes you don't like from the data folder, all are named descriptively)
- Offers a couple entirely new recipes for vanilla items
