Crafting magic in minecraft.

This plugin is an attempt to support magic in a systematic and meaningful way. The aim is to handle magic, necromancy and curses in a way that is rooted naturally into minecraft with actual crafting in mind, instead of spells being simply a list of commands.

The Forbbiden Craft

WitchCraft is by nature, a forbidden dark art of crafting.
It involves messing with nature, the dead and alot of other nasty things. Players may want to hunt down and get rid of such abominations because Witches tends to cause havoc around them,

The Seekers

Because of her magic powers, a Witch appears as a beacon of magic in the blind eyes of the being from The Beyond.
They will naturally seek to take her magic properties and use those powers for themselves.
As the power of a Witch grows stronger, the more seekers will attempt to find and slay her.

Totems

Totems are the only defensive way for a Witch to guard themselves against the seekers. They are guardian symbols build from the dead.

Necromancy

Necromancy is a form of magic involving communication with the deceased – either by summoning their spirit as an apparition or raising them bodily – for the purpose of foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge.

Raising the Dead

Raising the dead is done by using a pentagram.

Lich

The pinnacle of Necromantic art, the Lich is a Witch who has chosen to shed her life as a method to cheat death by becoming undead and thereby, immortal.

Voodoo

Voodoo is the of type of magic dealing with Voodoo Dolls.
A Voodoo Doll is magical entity that binds to the soul of a victim player.
Any damage the doll may take, will be shared directly with the victim player
Note that Voodoo dolls can only be created and used by a Witch

Wands

A true Witch is nothing without her wand.
It is the very symbol of her power.Only a Witch can use wands. When using a wand, the Witch draws energy from her own life and channels it through the wand, forming a spell.
4This is called 'Blood Magic' and is considered unholy and dangerous by most people.

Herbs

A true Witch must be skilled in the art of herbalism.
Herbs are used to brew potions in a cauldron and imbue items with magical properties.

Pentagrams

Pentagrams are used to summon beings from The Beyond.
They are made by drawing a pattern with redstone on a floor.
Beware of summoning Demons to this world, for they will do anything to gain more power for themselves!

Cats

A Witch can borrow the mind of her/his black cat to wander the lands undetected.

NOTE: This plugin is still in a very early experimental stage. No download is available yet

Cauldrons

Cauldrons are used to brew certain potions.

Pentagrams

Pentagrams are written with redstone on surfaces and are used for summoning creates and demons.

Doing spells

Any spell channels energy from somewhere else. That means that the user of magic must be prepared to sacrifice certain properties of himself in the effort:

• Lightning spells takes health (blood magic)
• Fireball spells takes health (blood magic)
• Summoning takes exp/health
• Animating talkes ingredients, health and lightning weather
• Borrowing causes nausia for extended periods of time
• Liches are fragile and cannot wear armor

Installation

Put the WitchCraft.jar file in your /plugins folder and you are ready to go!

Commands

Permission Nodes

• witchcraft.* - Player can do everything below
• witchcraft.spells - Player can cast spells
• witchcraft.summon - Player can summon using pentagrams
• witchcraft.borrowing - Player can borrow animal minds
