VRChat

A simple roleplaying chat handler

VRChat is a simple chat manager which adds pre-configured chat channels to your server. There's no config.yml and there are no permissions needed. This plugin simply provides a handful of commands to switch chat channels and to send single messages in a channel without switching channels.

VRChat was inspired by the chat system used in version 1 of RP Essentials. When the 1.7 update broke the functionality of RP Essentials 1, this plugin was made for the VeganRoach Minecraft server as a replacement chat handler.

How it works

Players can issue the following commands to change to their desired chat channel. If they do the command with no arguments, it will switch channels. If they type a message afterward, it will send that message in that channel without changing channels.

/ooc will be the default and global chat channel

/s to say something (8 blocks)

/y to yell something (256 blocks)

/w to whisper something (2 blocks)

/e to send a local (16 blocks) emote

FAQ

Q: Can you make it so that chat channels are configurable in a config file?

A: Not at this time. This project is open-source, and you are more than welcome to download the source code and make such a modification yourself.

Q: Why haven't you responded to my comment?
