Twitchy was created to fetch data from Twitch channels and create a way for users to gather that information while playing Minecraft! Twitchy gives you tons of configurable options and features to easily take account of your Twitch stream!
Thanks to chasechocolate for help with hooking into the Twitch API.
How it Works
The plugin connects with your own predefined Twitch stream, and is able to fetch the status of the stream. In the very near future, it will also fetch the viewer count, viewers, followers, and much more, but I am leaving for a week and am rushing the initial release of the plugin. The config allows for great customization!
Commands:
- /stream : Displays status of stream and link to stream!
Permissions:
config.yml
Below is an example of the config. The keys for each configurable value are very self-explanatory and don't need a detailed description. Also, I have introduced color code support in the config!
channel: yourChannel
onlineBroadcast: '&aThe Twitch stream is online :)'
offlineBroadcast: '&cThe Twitch stream is offline :('
onlineStatus: '&3The stream is currently &aONLINE'
offlineStatus: '&3The stream is currently &cOFFLINE'
delayInMinutes: 5
TO DO:
- Fetch much more data from Twitch streams!
- Possible IRC chat!
- More commands for players to gather information!
If you have suggestions, please leave them in the comments.
If you find bugs, please leave a support ticket with information.
Expect Twitchy v1.1 early July with some of the features on the TO DO list implemented.
