What is Trivia?

Trivia is a simple trivia plugin for your server.

• Choose your own rewards/punishments (if a command block can do it, so can you!)
• Set your own questions/answers
• Set your own question categories (Question themes, difficulty, topics, whatever you want!)
• Silent to everyone except those playing Trivia
• Stats are collected for mcstats.org
• Updates at bukkit.org are checked each reload
• Tested against 1.7.10, 1.8.* AND 1.9.*

Quick Guide

• /trivia join to join the game
• When enough people join (can be changed in config), the first question is asked!
• /x <answer> when you know the answer
• Reward and Punishment are dished out for each correct/incorrect answer
• /trivia leave when you've had enough
• /trivia list to see categories of questions available on your server
• /trivia vote <category> to vote for one of the categories available
  
  

Making the most of Trivia

• Questions can be added by altering/adding text files to /plugins/trivia/questions/ folder
• Questions must be in the format;
  • {Question} | {Answer}
  • One question/answer per line
• Config file can alter various aspects of gameplay, including;
  • Host name
  • Time between questions (default is randomly between 2-5 seconds)
  • Time to answer the question (default is randomly between 10-15 seconds)
  • Minimum number of players to start (default is 2)
  • Minimum number of players to stop (default is 1)
  • Minimum number of votes to change category (default is 5)
  • Reward for correct answer (default is 1 diamond)
  • Punishment for incorrect answer (default is 1 coal)

Install Instructions

• Stop the server (optional, but recommended)
• Move the latest version of Trivia.jar into your Server/plugins folder
• Delete any old version of Trivia.jar that's currently in place (you will need to stop the server for this)
• Restart/reload your server
• /trivia help to see the commands you can perform!
