Description

SneakAttack banner SneakAttack is a plugin that makes players invisible upon crouching. Taking damage, interacting with most objects, or interacting with other players will disable the invisible effect. This mod is meant for PVP servers to allow players to sneak more easily or for disadvantaged players to sneak up on heavily armored targets.

Commands

  • SneakAttack-time: Sets the amount of time the player is invisible for after crouching
  • SneakAttack-reload: Reloads the configuration file of SneakAttack
  • SneakAttack-effect: Toggles an effect on/off in the configuration file of SneakAttack
  • Sneak: Turns on sneaking without the shift (NOT THE SAME AS SHIFT, without shift the player is able to walk and sprint)

Permissions

  • sneakattack.use: Gives access to use SneakAttack {default: true}
  • sneakattack.time: Gives access to /sneakattack-time {default: op}
  • sneakattack.reload: Gives access to /sneakattack-reload {default: op}
  • sneakattack.effect: Gives access to /sneakattack-effect {default: op}
  • sneakattack.sneak: Gives access to /sneak {default: op}

Configuration

Default config is written to plugins/SneakAttack/config.yml if it doesn't exist.

Auto-Update

  • auto-update: If true, SneakAttack will find the latest version ) {default: true}

Metrics

Time of Invisibility

  • timeInvisible: The amount of time the player will be invisible in seconds {default: 6000}

Cooldown

  • Cooldown: The cooldown in seconds before a player can go invisible again {default: 3}

Allow invisible player object interaction

  • invisInteract: When enabled, invisible players can interact with doors, buttons, pressure plates, and levers without breaking their invisibility {default: true}

Mob targetting of invisible players

  • disableMobTracking: If enabled, mobs will not target invisible players. However once targeted, mobs will pursue even invisible players. {default: true}

Effects

  • Admins can toggle which effect or effects occur when a player turns invisible by simply putting true or false in the config file for each effect.
Effects available to turn on upon a player turning invisible:
  • ENDER_SIGNAL
  • MOBSPAWNER_FLAMES
  • POTION_BREAK
  • SMOKE
  • {default: flames and smoke only true}

Sounds

  • Admins can toggle which sound or sounds play when a player turns invisible by simply putting true or false in the config file for each sound.
Sounds available to turn on upon a player turning invisible:
  • BLAZE_SHOOT
  • BOW_FIRE
  • CLICK1
  • CLICK2
  • DOOR_TOGGLE
  • EXTINGUISH
  • GHAST_SHOOT
  • GHAST_SHRIEK
  • RECORD_PLAY
  • STEP_SOUND
  • ZOMBIE_CHEW_IRON_DOOR
  • ZOMBIE_CHEW_WOODEN_DOOR
  • ZOMBIE_DESTROY_DOOR
  • {default: extinguish only true}

Trails

If enabled, sneaking players will make grass, snow, dead bushes, and wheat disappear temporarily essentially leaving a trail behind the invisible player. This trail will allow other players to detect and track invisible players' movements.

  • trails: enables or disables trails {default: true}
  • trailTime: The amount of time in seconds that the trail of missing grass, snow, etc will last behind a sneaking player {default: 3}

Toggle sneaking for Creative mode

  • creativeSneak: If false, players in creative mode with not be able to use SneakAttack {default: true}

Invisibility triggered by darkness

  • darkSneak: When enabled players will turn invisible in low light conditions (defined below) regardless of if the player has permission for use {default: true}
  • nightLight: The level of light that will trigger darkSneak. Keep in mind moonlight is a light level of 4. {default: 3}
