SD Tools/Basics

Please note I am no longer working on this. If for some reason someone wants an update, please let me know. For now, I am working on another plugin with more of a purpose.

SD Tools v1.3

SD Tools/Basics is a plugin that has some basic tools/features that would be handy on many servers. Currently, this plugin is just a small part of what I inspire it to be. I plan to add more features that revolve around making the admins job less painful/annoying and the making the server more fun.

Features

SD Help

Direct messages! Send pre-written messages to any player using a command via player or console. Saves time, space in YOUR chat and better yet, saves you from having to think of what to respond with. Just set the messages up in-game or in the config and run the handy-dandy reload command and BOOM, your set.

Color Codes Color codes work the same as every other plugin. That typed, SD has a few more options to implement color. Instead of &0 to get black, you can use {black}. (Remember to use lowercase!) I took the colors and their names from here for simplicity. You may use these codes in the config for all messages!

SD MVP

MVP! MVP lets users nominate an MVP and then the players get to vote for the MVP from the nominations. Every so often when the timer is up, the plugin will choose the winner off of the most votes. The winner gets a prize defined in the config. The amount of the prize is also configurable within the config.

SD PVP

PVP Protection! I would imagine many servers like mine experience players complaining about PVP or that there is no PVP. I solved this on my server by creating the "SD.PVP.non" node. This node is treated like a permission. Any player with this node cannot take damage from another player. Also, I've added protection from creative players because that's just downright unfair. I plan to implement a way of giving players a command to go into PVP time. So, if they aren't the normal PVP type, they can still PVP, but at their discretion.

• Add a promo-key kinda thing. Let's say you have a site and blah blah, people fill stuff out and boom, you give them a unique key. A special one time only kinda key. So, the player gets on the server and types a command and if that key matches one in the config, the player gets a treat.

• Add Grief-Trap feature. Ban on break dealio.

• Add an OPTIONAL feature that extends a players chat rather then printing their name again.

• Add a gender option. (I don't like how other gender plugins go about it. Usually your forced to pick a gender.)

• Add auto announcer.

• Add a feature that shrinks links for you and puts them in a list with a cover name that you decide. (Debating this one though, so if you'd like it, let me know!)

I am open to all and any suggestions or ideas to implement. Either way, I'd love feedback, constructive is preferred. Also, if you would like just a certain feature (or you want me to exclude a feature) in SD Tools, then let me know. I can most likely make that happen and give you a copy with the modification.
