RTP999

RTP999 is a powerful Minecraft Bukkit plugin that allows players to teleport to random safe locations with customizable cooldowns and safety checks, ensuring an exciting and secure gameplay experience.

Features

  • Random Teleport:

    • Sends you to a safe random spot with solid ground, free space above, and no hazards such as lava, water, fire, cactus, webs, or dripstone.
    • The search area can be a circle or a square, centered on you or on the destination world's spawn when travelling across worlds.
    • Fiery worlds are searched from the top of the sky down so good spots high up are never missed.
    • Open areas with trees no longer count as caves, and true underground spots are detected by comparing with the real surface height.
  • Teleport Warm-up:

    • A configurable countdown before you teleport, during which you must stand still.
    • Moving, taking damage, or leaving the game cancels the teleport and refunds any fee paid.
    • Sparkling effects appear around you while you wait, and at the destination so you can see where you will land.
    • A warm-up sound plays when the countdown starts.
  • Return Trip:

    • The /rtpback command takes you back to where you stood before your last random teleport.
    • The last spot is remembered for a configurable amount of time, then expires.
    • The return trip has its own separate waiting period.
  • Cooldowns:

    • A configurable waiting period between random teleports, which can differ per world.
    • Chosen players can skip the waiting period everywhere or in one specific world.
    • The return trip and teleport signs each have their own separate waiting periods.
  • World Selection Menu:

    • The /rtpworlds command opens a menu showing every world you can teleport in.
    • Each world shows its waiting period, teleport distance, and price.
    • Fiery and end-like worlds stay hidden unless they are enabled, and disabled worlds never appear.
  • Teleport Signs:

    • Write [RTP] on the first line of a sign to turn it into a teleport sign.
    • Right-click the sign to teleport in your current world, or write a world name on the second line to travel there.
    • Signs have their own waiting period.
  • Paid Teleports:

    • Each teleport can cost money when an economy plugin is present.
    • The price can differ per world.
    • If you cannot afford it you are told the price and your balance.
    • Payment is taken once at the right moment and automatically refunded if the teleport is cancelled or fails.
  • Landscape Controls:

    • Unwanted landscape types such as oceans and rivers can be blocked, or only chosen landscape types can be allowed.
    • Certain landscape types can have their own teleport distance and waiting period.
  • Minimum Distance:

    • Consecutive teleports can be forced to land a minimum full distance away from the previous spot, including height.
    • Set to 0 to turn this rule off.
  • World Border Respect:

    • When turned on, random spots are never picked outside the world border.
  • Landing Area Preparation:

    • When turned on, the landing area is prepared before you arrive so arrival is smoother with less stutter.
  • Protected Region Support:

    • When a protection plugin is present, teleports can be limited to only inside chosen protected areas, or blocked inside them.
    • Both your feet and head positions are checked, and area names match regardless of capital letters.
  • Sounds and Effects:

    • The sounds and sparkling effects for the warm-up and the arrival can all be changed.
    • Each world can have its own sounds and effects.
  • Announcements for Other Plugins:

    • The plugin announces when a teleport is requested, when a warm-up starts, when a warm-up is cancelled, and when a teleport finishes, so other plugins can react or cancel.

Commands

  • /rtp:

    • Teleports you to a random safe spot in your current world.
    • /rtp <world> teleports you to a random spot in the named world.
    • /rtp <player> teleports another player to a random spot in their current world.
    • /rtp <player> <world> teleports another player to a random spot in the named world.
    • When a single name could be both a world and a player, worlds take priority for those allowed to visit worlds.
  • /rtpback:

    • Returns you to where you stood before your last random teleport, if it has not expired.
  • /rtpworlds:

    • Opens the world selection menu.
  • /rtp999 reload:

Settings

  • range:

    • How far from the starting point random spots can be picked. Bigger numbers spread players out more but take longer to search.
  • max-attempts:

    • How many tries are allowed to find a safe spot before giving up. Higher numbers find spots more often but can take longer.
  • cooldown-seconds:

    • Waiting period in seconds between random teleports. Higher numbers slow down teleporting.
  • min-y-level:

    • The lowest height a spot can be. Raise it to avoid low caves and voids.
  • check-caves:

    • When turned on, underground spots are skipped. Turn off in worlds where underground travel is fine.
  • warm-up-seconds:

    • Countdown in seconds before teleporting. Set to 0 for instant teleports.
  • shape:

    • Either circle or square. Changes the outline of the search area.
  • min-teleport-distance:

    • Minimum full distance between consecutive teleports. Set to 0 to turn off.
  • economy.enabled and economy.cost:

    • Turn paid teleports on or off and set the price. The price can differ per world.
  • worldguard.enabled, worldguard.mode, and worldguard.regions:

    • Turn protected-area rules on or off. The mode decides whether teleports are allowed only inside the listed areas or blocked inside them. The list holds the area names.
  • biomes.mode and biomes.list:

    • Decide whether the listed landscape types are the only ones allowed or the ones blocked.
  • biome-overrides:

    • Lets chosen landscape types have their own teleport distance and waiting period. The teleport distance applies based on where you start, and the waiting period applies based on where you land.
  • teleport-history.enabled:

    • Turns the return trip command on or off.
  • teleport-history.timeout-seconds:

    • How long the previous spot is remembered for the return trip. After this time the return trip stops working.
  • teleport-history.cooldown-seconds:

    • Waiting period in seconds between return trips.
  • chunk-preload.enabled:

    • When turned on, the landing area is prepared before you arrive for a smoother landing.
  • chunk-preload.timeout-ticks:

    • How long to allow for landing area preparation before arriving anyway.
  • respect-world-border:

    • When turned on, random spots are never picked outside the world border.
  • rtp-signs.enabled:

    • Turns teleport signs on or off.
  • rtp-signs.cooldown-seconds:

    • Waiting period in seconds between sign teleports.
  • effects.warmup.sound, effects.warmup.particle, and effects.warmup.particle-count:

    • The sound, sparkling effect, and amount of sparkles shown during the warm-up. Can differ per world.
  • effects.teleport.sound, effects.teleport.particle, and effects.teleport.particle-count:

    • The sound, sparkling effect, and amount of sparkles shown on arrival. Can differ per world.
  • allow-nether and allow-end:

    • Whether fiery worlds and end-like worlds allow random teleports at all.
  • disabled-worlds:

    • Worlds where random teleports are never allowed, no matter what the per-world settings say.
  • messages:

    • Every reply the plugin sends, including its prefix and colors. Special words in curly brackets such as time, price, balance, player names, and world names are filled in automatically. Leave any message empty to turn that reply off.
  • Per-world settings under worlds:

    • Any of the above settings can be repeated under a world name to change them for that world only. The example setup makes the main world use a square area with a cheaper price and blocked spawn area, lets the fiery world teleport with lower heights and more tries, and lets the end-like world teleport with adjusted heights.
