π Advanced RPG Stats
A complete 38-stat system.
Six primary attributes calculate into 32 derived statistics, including elemental resistances.
Stats can come from:
Classes Skills Passives Equipment Guild upgrades Pets Summons
Everything goes through a unified recalculation system, preventing bonuses from being accidentally applied twice.
π₯ Custom Damage Engine

9 damage types Critical hits Armor penetration Life steal Thorns Elemental resistance Combo system Floating damage indicators
Melee and skill damage use the same damage pipeline, keeping combat consistent across the entire plugin.
π‘οΈ RPG Items
Create powerful RPG equipment with:
10 rarity tiers Randomized stat ranges Item sockets Runes Upgrade forge Configurable upgrade failure penalties 18 virtual accessory slots
Item data is stored in NBT, allowing RPG items to safely retain their state.
πΉ Boss System
Create bosses with advanced combat mechanics:
Multi-phase encounters Health-based phase changes Ability changes Damage scaling Defense changes Speed changes Boss bar colors Adds Enrage timers Leashing
The threat system supports both damage and healing aggro, with threat decay and taunt mechanics.
Tanks actually have a reason to hold threat.
π° Instanced Dungeons
Run multiple dungeon instances simultaneously.
Features include:
4 difficulty tiers Enemy scaling Reward scaling Shared party life pool Time limits Wave stages Boss stages Intermissions Checkpoints Matchmaking queue Fastest-clear leaderboards
Each dungeon is arena-based, allowing multiple parties to run the same content independently.

Pet evolution is earned through progression, not simply purchased.
β οΈ Summon System
A shared summon framework used by:
Necromancer skills Summoner skills Classes Bosses Pets
Summons automatically scale from their owner and are temporary by design.
Summons have proper ownership, targeting, behavior, duration, and cleanup.
π§ Smart Summon & Combat Relationships
One of the most important parts of RPGSkills is how summons interact with players.
A summoned creature must never attack the player who created it.
RPGSkills prevents this at the targeting level rather than simply cancelling the damage afterward.
This means the summon does not:
Target its owner Chase its owner Attack its owner Repeatedly attempt to attack its owner
The plugin uses a shared Relationship Manager to determine how entities relate to each other.
This system is used by:
Combat Targeting Area damage Pets Summons Parties Guilds
Owner protection is always enforced, while other friendly-fire rules remain configurable.
For example:
A Mage's Meteor will not accidentally destroy their own summons or party members.
A Necromancer's skeletons will not turn against their master when caught inside an area attack.
βοΈ Requirements Requirement Version Server Paper 1.21.x / Purpur Java 21+ Storage SQLite by default Optional Database MySQL
SQLite requires no setup.
Database drivers and the connection pool are loaded automatically through Paper's library loader.
No manual database installation is required.
π Optional Integrations Vault + Economy Plugin
Adds:
Shops Bank Guild Bank Pet Shop Money in player trades
Without Vault/economy integration, these features automatically disable while the rest of the plugin continues working.
PlaceholderAPI
Adds 40+ placeholders for:
Scoreboards Chat Other compatible plugins LuckPerms
Adds per-rank experience bonuses.
Without LuckPerms, the plugin falls back to permission nodes.
π Getting Started Download the plugin. Place the .jar into your server's plugins/ folder. Start the server. RPGSkills automatically generates its configuration files. Players can immediately begin using the RPG system. Player Commands /rpg class /rpg stats /rpg skills /rpg bind <skill> <1-9> /rpg quest
What they do
/rpg class — Choose your class.
/rpg stats — View your RPG statistics.
/rpg skills — Open the skill tree.
/rpg bind <skill> <1-9> — Bind a skill to a hotbar slot.
/rpg quest — Open the quest journal.
Everything is located under /rpg, with tab completion throughout.
Admin commands are restricted to operators by default.
rpgskills.admin grants access to all admin commands.
π οΈ Configuration
RPGSkills is designed to be configured without coding.
Each system has its own configuration file, and values can use formulas.
Example:
cooldown: "20 - level * 2" health: "owner_max_health * 0.5"
This allows you to configure:
Skills Bosses Quests Shops Guild upgrades Summons Pets Stats And more
All player-facing text is stored in messages.yml using MiniMessage, allowing the plugin to be completely translated.
After editing configuration:
/rpg reload
Invalid configuration entries are reported in the console and skipped instead of bringing down the entire server.
β οΈ Before Installing Dungeons
Dungeons require your own maps.
The default dungeons.yml expects a world named dungeons with arenas at configured coordinates.
Build your dungeon maps and update the configuration to match your server.
World Support
RPGSkills is active across all server worlds.
There is currently no global per-world enable/disable option.
However, safe zones, dungeon arenas, and summon world-change behavior are world-aware.
Optional Plugins
ProtocolLib, MythicMobs, and ModelEngine are declared as soft dependencies for correct load ordering when installed.
Integration code for these plugins is not currently implemented.
π¨π» Developer API
RPGSkills includes RPGSkillsAPI, exposed through the Bukkit Services Manager.
The API provides access to the plugin's major domain services and 28 events covering areas such as:
Experience Leveling Stats Classes Skills Damage Item upgrades Bosses Dungeons Quests Shops Trading Parties Guilds Pets Summons
Example:
RPGSkillsAPI api = Bukkit.getServicesManager().load(RPGSkillsAPI.class);
api.guild(player).ifPresent(guild -> ...);
api.summon( player, "risen-skeleton", location, 3, 60.0 );
boolean allowed = api.canAttack(summon, target);
Database schema migrations are versioned and executed automatically during upgrades.
