Introduction
Lootbags is a plugin where players can earn money rewards for killing other players. This differs from MoneyThief in the sense that it is a bet controlled completely by both players in battles. It can be used in mini games, duels, or even raids- it all depends on when and where the players want to use it. The rewards are completely fair for any player in a battle, even if one player has more stored in the bag than another. When a player is killed, two balances are compared. Out of the killer and the victim, who-ever has the least amount of money determines the amount taken from the victim. The goal of this plugin is to give users something to bet on with completely fair odds, and add a further reward to combat besides armor and equipment drops.
If one intended to fight a strong player, obviously they wouldn't put money in their lootbag because they would most likely lose. Another feature of the plugin fixes this and adds opportunity- strong players can set their money gained from kills to be reduced to encourage other players to fight them.
Commands
- /loot - Shows all commands (similar to /help)
- /loot balance - Shows how much money is in your Loot Bag
- /loot deposit - Places money inside your Loot Bag
- /loot withdraw - Remove money from your Loot Bag and return it to your normal balance
- /loot incentive - Reduce the amount of money gained from kills
- /loot inspect - Inspect a player's lootbag, viewing contents and set incentives
Features
- Players can place money in their loot bag to gain or lose rewards in a fight
- Fair rewards and losses
- No loops or repetitive tasks, thus using minimal resources (virtually no lag from this)
- Strong, intimidating, skilled players can give an insentive so players aren't as afraid to place money against them
- Players can view (if given permission) another's amount places in their lootbag, along with any incentives set
Example of how this works
Steve sees Herobrine off in the distance and places $500 in his loot bag. Herobrine was already prepared, and has $4,000 in his. If Steve kills Herobrine, Steve would be able to take no more than $500 of Herobrine's bag, and Herobrine would take no more than $4,000 from Steve's. Both players would get $500 for killing one or the other, and lose $500 on death.
Planned Features:
- Item encorporation
- Option where players can set their lootbag to only be used if interacting with a specific opponent
- Admin command to change the balance of players in their loot bags
Optional command for all players to view the amount of money in a player's loot bag
Optional command to decrease the amount of money you will get from kills to give an incentive for weaker players to fight you
