  • New command: /protected add|remove|check to mark items in hand as protected or remove protection.
  • Drop protection: protected items cannot be dropped from the inventory.
  • Death protection: protected items are kept on death and restored on respawn (or dropped near the player if the inventory is full).
  • Block & use protection: protected items cannot be used to place blocks or via right‑click (eggs, snowballs, etc.).
  • Storage rules: protected items cannot be put into regular containers (chests, barrels, etc.), but can be stored in ender chests; operators can bypass this with a permission.
  • Item frames: protected items cannot be placed into item frames.
  • Permissions: protecteditems.use for the command, protecteditems.bypass-store to allow placing protected items into containers.
