I have no idea if this plugin will fail if you're using Java 7 - Create a new issue here along with a paste of your server log if it does. (Besides that, it's strongly recommended to update to Java 8/ask your provider to update, since Java 7 is End-of-Life and vulnerable to security exploits, much like Windows XP is today.)
