Periscopes

Owner of a Movecraft server and ever missed having an ability to use a periscope, or impeded by limitations to track enemy vehicles from a submarine while staying submerged and unseen? Periscopes solves that problem by adding functional periscopes to your Movecraft vehicles

Installation:

1. Download the jar and drop it into the plugins directory
2. Download and install Movecraft to the same server

   2. 1.8.8 - 1.15.2: https://github.com/eirikh1996/Movecraft/releases
   3. NOTE: Only version 7.0 of Movecraft is supported. Earlier versions do not work
3. Run the server

Config:

1.8.8 - 1.12.2:

Allowed periscope materials:
  - nether_fence
  - iron_fence
  - cobble_wall

Min periscope height: -1
Max periscope height: -1

1.13+:

Allowed periscope materials:
  - nether_brick_fence
  - iron_bars
  - cobblestone_wall

Min periscope height: -1
Max periscope height: -1

Usage:

1. Create a pillar of allowed periscope blocks
2. Place a sign on the pillar saying [periscope] on the first line. If pillar is made of the right materials and player has permission, the text should change to Periscope
3. Right click the sign. This will teleport the player to the top of the pillar and lock the player in place. Players using periscopes are hidden from other players
4. To stop using the periscope, sneak (default: left shift key), and the player using the periscope  will be teleported to the player's original location

Players using periscopes are unable to shoot arrows, crossbows or use guns from gun plugins (like CrackShot or QualityArmory). This is to prevent players to game the periscope mechanic to attack other players from a periscope.

Commands:

• /periscopes
  • Displays only plugin info without arguments
  • /periscopes reload - Reloads plugin config

Permissions:

• periscopes.create - Allow players to create periscopes
• periscopes.use - Allow players to use periscopes
• periscopes.reload - Allow players to use /periscopes reload
